I wanted to commemorate a mix tribute  to the immortal WKTU 92.3 which spawned the Super Paco Mix and the legends, Albert Cabrera and Tony Moran better known as The Latin Rascals. I tried to stick to the play list that I think would have been played on the Super Paco Mix on 92 KTU and also sampled the 92 Ktu drop. I also tried to have a little fun with this as I merged Mortal Kombat VS WKTU 92.3. Shout out's to New York and all the Producers that came up during the 80's. 92 KTU will never be forgotten. I started DJing towards the end of 1988. I listened to KSOL and KMEL and was influenced by Cameron Paul. Greg Lopez of KMEL & KYLD and Slammin Sam of KYLD also influenced me. Greg with the 3 turntable mixes and Sam for his song selection and production work with artists. I’m grateful to meet and befriend Sam. 

I gravitated towards Cameron’s medleys and powermix style and always want to make my own. I made some mixes in the late 80s on reel to reel and then moved onto SawPlus32 in the late 90s. I started to play around with Ableton in 2015 to adapt it to DJ mixing. YouTube videos focus on basic segues or midi techniques. I had to figure it out. It’s was like being self taught to mix on two turntables all over again. During the pandemic, I put more time to mixing on ableton and have made a few mixes that I will eventually post. 

My favorite music genre is freestyle and I think this is evident in how my freestyle mixes turn out. 

I had a short stint on 89.5 in SF and also some club gigs. I then focused on career so djing took a break. I do occasional events. I do enjoy mixing live in front of a crowd. But I also really enjoy making production mixes. Next in my to do list is to figure out how to make multi edit mixes which are very common on freestyle tracks.
