Now lot of people don’t like Mondays and we think that’s fair enough; going back to work feeling a decade older after a heavy weekend spent making memories with friends can be a chore for even for the most optimistic of us as we trudge back in to the daily grind.  Luckily, help is at hand as we've secured Dominica's unreleased summer anthem 'Gotta Let You Go'.

Having caused quite a stir in clubs and festivals across the globe throughout warmer months, we had feared that the track wasn't going to get an official release despite the likes of Jackmaster and Skream championing the track in their sets.

Thus we were delighted to hear that it would finally be arriving via Altra Moda Music this November and quickly set about securing it for premiere. Rock solid grooves, pumping synths and rolling snares underpin catchy, redolent vocals for a sunshine soaked floor filler guaranteed to ward off those winter blues.

'The Wonk' is our pick of the tracks on the new record and it's about as high-octane as it gets. The low-end is savage and ever-present, the hi-hats and snares give it even more pace and that title? Well that refers to the alien-melody that wavers in-and-out of focus like some sort of mutant laser. 

This is not only techno music that we can see Klock dropping at the Berghain, but also techno that's going to take Dax J to same dizzy-heights as the genre's current flag-bearer.

After taking 2016 off, he came back guns blazing in 2017, releasing 5 solo ep's in 1 year on labels like Shall not Fade and Baka Gaijin. His Me and you and her' ep for Heist showcases his contemporary view on classic house and acid, and is an experiment into how much distortion a track can actually handle when you've got a killer sample hook.

Brame & Hamo are back with the third release on their eponymous imprint. ‘Trants’ and ‘Club Orange’ effortlessly upheld the Berlin based duo’s reputation for dancefloor ready hits, with the latter selling out in one day. Picking up where the others left off, ‘Limewire EP’ is a nod to their early influences channelling house, techno, trance and breakbeat.

Over three tracks, Brame & Hamo brandish the party starting spirit they are rapidly becoming known for. Broken beats feature heavily alongside subtle acid licks, uplifting harmonies and sweltering synth lines.

‘Parade Rain’ is a peak time house roller with pulsing bass, meditative pads and airy pipes that polish it off to make a fine rendition to early 90’s house. ‘Sports Complex’ the darkest of the EP, builds an intense energy with a heavy hitting 808 , shuttering reflections, a driving 303 line topped off with a trance-inducing melody that makes this into a big room bomb. The title track is a breakbeat workout honing a classy piano riff complimented with emotional synths, strings and more acid lines, a fruit for clarity. Finally “Tuff City Kids” aka Gerd Janson & Lauer round it up with a club ready interpretation of their title track, adding more drum layers, a jittering bassline and a simple but effective melody to finish it off.

‘Limewire’ EP finds the duo exploring a range of influences, expertly referencing various styles whilst still weighing in the sound that is now unmistakably theirs.

With the next release on the fast rising HOMAGE imprint, the Brooklyn label taps mysterious underground producer KETTAMA to deliver the 'Bucklyn Bridge' EP, which features the highly sought after, banging house cut 'B O D Y'.

After a continuous outpouring of videos surfaced in the Identication Of Music Group in the past year, begging for the ID to be revealed with artists like Mall Grab dropping it in his sets, KETTAMA's 'B O D Y' is finally getting an official release. The Irish producer has steadily been gainining momentum with his cleverly produced, jacking house style and here he unveils three dancefloor weapons on his 'Bucklyn Bridge' EP. Trust, this release will be in high-demand, so scoop it up quick.

Sour Edits, is a label that without doubt has brought so much foot tapping, head nodding happiness into this world. Every floor driven release has managed to crack a wry smile in everyone over at Four Heads HQ when we routinely unearth these releases; even the accounting department on the most solemn of Mondays when the lacklustre Q4 numbers are rolling in.

The issue is, is that circa 70% (predictions based on real-time data collected by our GDPR compliant operatives) of you will be listening to this, perhaps alone, perhaps with headphones on. If this is you, yes you, this is not the optimum enjoyment level for this tune.
