Patrick Olsen - Lament For Clarinet

Peaceful start & exciting finish.  Commissioned by The Limerick Art Council to highlight two very different paintings by Roderick O'Conor in the collection of The Hunt Museum in Limerick, Ireland. The first image of an old Breton woman falling asleep in a chair uses scales and rhythms from Breton folk music. The second image, a wildly-coloured tree, is depicted with harmonic colours from French classical music of Roderic's era.
