cross the recent garage revival movement that has been taking place for the last couple of years, there are few who have made such an immediate impact as London's own: Limita. Known for his hard hitting garage designs and explosive rhythmic energies, has been making a major name for himself of recent, finding his way onto a bag of high profile releases and exciting remixes.

We loved listening through this project, so much that we felt it was a necessity to get in contact and sit down with the man behind the craft to discuss how he manages to fuse such vibrant genre styles together without losing the rawness of his UKG-based stylings. Jorja Smith Feat. Burna Boy - Be Honest (Higgo Edit)

03 is a soulful and nostalgic track for the rave, produced by UKG veteran Moony. Hatter and Ceezlin provide melodic rhymes over seamless production. The track title ‘03 is a nod to the three artists involvement in music since their early teens. 

Moony's roots are deep in UK Garage. His stylish, yet soulful blend, of bass-driven music has established Moony in UKG House, Grime, Bassline, UK Funky and Dubstep. He has collaborated with the likes of Flava D, DJ Q, Tuff Culture, Spooky and performed with pioneers EZ, Todd Edwards, So Solid, El B. His distinct sounding productions have been released on Butterz, Four40 and Fabric. 

Rapper/producer Hatter brings a unique blend of energy and depth to his audience, sonically and content-wise. Recognised for his versatile yet unmistakable sound, Hatter has shared the stage with the likes of Octavian, Etta Bond, Eyez, The Purist and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man - collaborating with the latter three. He has performed at Outlook Festival, The Great Escape, Boom Bap and Brighton Fringe Festival and has received support from BBC Introducing. 

Rapper and singer Ceezlin first moved into the limelight after signing to a major and teaming up with YouTube's music/ entertainment channel SBTV. After a flurry of hits followed by a run at the top of the battle rap scene, he's collaborated with a long line of noteworthy artists in the UK and overseas. Ceezlin is untamed and spans genres, never failing to deliver a magnetic personality in his content that has earned him a loyal following.

Hatter’s next performance, presented by Hear No Evil Management X The Caribbean Kitchen, on 15th September in Ibiza at Reggae Reggae Beach - Playa Pine, where Ceezlin will also be performing. Hatter is also joined by Ceezlin at The Green Door Store, Brighton 22nd Sept as main support for Big Zuu.

Yemi is fast becoming a name to watch on the UKG scene. The Manchester-based DJ & Producer has already seen his productions grace many veteran DJs radio shows across the past year, and his recent debut single on Strictly Flava was an absolute heater that broke into the Beatport Top 40.

Downplay is proud to welcome Manchester-based producer Yemi to the label for his debut release on the imprint.

‘Luv U’ wastes no time in getting the party started with it’s infectious vocal hook peppering a heady brew of jazzy keys and bubbling bass across a skittering 4x4 groove that will get any discerning dancefloor popping.

‘Trust Me’ brings that flavour forward with a well-known MC sample deployed across percussive drum work and warm, melodic chords to deliver a high-energy workout.

‘Waves’ maximises the house vibes across it’s chopped vocals and driving beat, mixed up with sublime musical stabs that pack the track with character and feeling - a perfect early doors bubbler if ever we heard one.
