This is the new single from my upcoming album "Can You Hear Me". I wrote this song for my mom. The melody and title came to me simultaneously. The melody had this beckoning cry from deep within while reaching out beyond myself. “Can You Hear Me” 

My thoughts first went to God and then my mother who had passed away in 2008. I wanted to write a song for her and this melody captured that desire beautifully.

It is produced and co written by Jeff Lorber and features the beautiful soprano saxophone of Dave Koz. I am hoping this song touches you with love, joy and peace. / PB /

Keyboardist Patrick Bradley is set to start the New Year with a hope-filled exhalation. “Exhale,” his fifth contemporary jazz album produced by hitmaker Darren Rahn and GRAMMY winner Jeff Lorber.

Setting the tone for Exhale is the album’s title track which rolls out on a celestial sequencer groove with majestic chordal progressions and bubbly synth bass. “‘Exhale’ was clearly the lead single since 2020 has been a tough year for us all,” Bradley shares. “The original title was ‘Soffrito,’ inspired by me cooking Bolognese with my grandson and explaining that it takes all day. He shouted, ‘All day Bolognese!!’ Looking up the recipe, I saw that soffrito is the key ingredient and thought, ‘What a beautiful word.’ 

When Darren (Producer) and I worked on the song together, it grew into something more. Then when we entered the COVID world, my wife suggested I call it ‘Exhale.’
