LABURNŪM starts its EP series with what seems to be in the continuity of French producer OMBRAR’s path toward experimentation combined with a rough and hard-driving techno sound. You may find noisy guitar sounds recorded for each track, a broken piano, the relentless presence
of field recordings of all sorts and some sharp modular sounds as well. On the flip side, London producers Burden and Cathédral served two powerful remixes, both club-oriented and as granular as the originals. It looks like this EP will have many layers to discover

Patrick DSP has been smashing sound systems around the world for several decades on three decks. Starting in his native Canada and finally landing himself in Berlin, where he currently resides. Beginning his campaign of techno in the mid 90s in Toronto, soon delved into the production side of things, and eventually mastering.
A quick study in the technical realm, the fast found himself working with renowned labels such as Kne’ Deep Records and DJAX Up Beats, providing mastering, production and remixes for various labels, all the while building his repertoire of twisted pristine sounds.
In between jumping from Canada, to Brazil, to Berlin, Patrick managed to expand his abilities, not only making music from film scores to blistering techno, but also using his mastery of production to teach others their way around a studio, giving classes and lectures around the world. Never one to rest on his laurels, he was also performing across Europe, South America and North America, spreading his techno sound from intimate local clubs to festivals such as the Love Parade in Germany, ADE, MayDay, Awakenings, Fabrik, Tresor and many more.
His musical skills, along with his diverse range of technical ability, have not only resulted in an impressive discography of international releases, but have also allowed him to collaborate with some of the most talented names in techno, earning him the reputation of a true techno stalwart.

Patrick began his journey spinning records at underground raves in Canada back in 1996. It wasn't long before he ventured into producing the very music that inspired him to DJ in the first place. Music production became his gateway to exploring sonic landscapes and experimenting with cutting-edge technologies, resulting in creations ranging from film scores to his signature hard-hitting techno. Beyond crafting his sound, Patrick shared his expertise with others by offering advice and teaching music production classes. Collaborating with countless techno legends further enriched his journey, leading to performances at iconic events across the globe.

After relocating to Berlin, Patrick deepened his craft by founding Neptune Mastering, where his intimate knowledge of sound systems and dance floor dynamics ensures every record he masters delivers precision and impact. His dedication to perfecting the techno sound has cemented his reputation as a trusted engineer and producer.
