Canciones Del Mercado Negro concepto:

After living so many years in Berlin, Promis decided to write an original album of songs in his native Spanish, as a natural attempt to reconnect with his birth culture, and to fuse together the memories of Chilean folkloric music from his youth, with fantasies of Berlin cabaret, French chanson and 1970s pop. This album, which was recorded in Chile, is his 13th overall, and his first since his last English album, 2021’s Promises.

Después de vivir tantos años en Berlín, Promis decidió escribir un álbum original de canciones en su español nativo, como un intento natural de recuperar las raíces de su cultura original. Este proyecto fusiona los recuerdos de la música folclórica chilena de su juventud, con fantasías de cabaret de Berlín, chanson francesa y pop de los 70. Este álbum, que fue grabado en Chile, es el número13 en general y el primero desde su último álbum en inglés, 2021's Promises.

D'origine roumaine, Ioan Streba vit en France depuis plus de 25 ans. Très vite, il a été un sideman clé des plus grands, sur scène et dans leurs albums : Biréli Lagrène, Angelo Debarre, Stochelo Rosenberg, Didier Lockwood, Thomas Dutronc, ... Il s’est produit dans toutes les salles et les festivals d’importance, tant en France qu’à l’étranger.
En Jazz, outre les maîtres qu’il a accompagnés, ses influences sont Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans, qui inspirent sans cesse ses nouveaux thèmes et des variations à l’infini de ses chorus en des croisements détonants avec ses ascendances Gypsy et les traditions des Balkans.
Avec quelques-uns de ses compatriotes, Ioan Streba est à l’avant-garde de l’évolution de la musique d’Europe Centrale. Précurseur, il veut la faire rayonner beaucoup plus largement.
Depuis 10 ans, Ioan Streba porte magistralement ses propres projets, avec 3 albums à son actif :

Texas-born singer/songwriter Christopher Wright shared his brand new single “Good
One To Quit On” today. Executive produced by legendary singer/songwriter Ray Wylie
Hubbard and produced by Pat Manske, the country track features bluesy, harmonica-tinged arrangements and clever songcraft inspired by Wright’s childhood memories
watching rodeos and the influence of its culture in his home state. Click here to listen.
Recorded at The Zone in Dripping Springs, TX, Wright co-wrote the track with Doug
Folkins and enlisted a grab bag of Texas and Nashville talent to play on it includingManske (drums); Tobin Dale (bass/guitar) and Lucas Hubbard (guitar/harmonica).
“My buddy Doug Folkins and I wrote this song out in Nashville,” explains Wright. “He
had asked me if my family had any rodeo experience. Just so happens, being from a
little Texas town, my sister and I used to get roped in the front yard by our dad (who
was one hell of a horseman I might add) so I guess that qualifies. Either way, all those
old memories growing up watching the big rodeos in Mesquite & Ft Worth all the way
down to the smaller regionals in Gladewater provided just enough rodeo nostalgia to be
able to contribute to this tune with my Canadian brethren.”
