Air Jackson - Back To The Old School [Ten One Records]

Phuturegroove Records was opened by Sean McCann in Belfast in the late 90s, with a teenage Timmy Stewart invited to become a house & techno buyer at the store. The two then supplied great US house, disco and techno records to most of cities DJs during the store's time.

Fast forward two decades later and Timmy & Sean have teamed up with fashion industry producer & casting director Julius Poole. A move to NYC in the ‘80’s saw Julius discover a city alive with incredible night life, not to mention soundtracked with house music from some of the world’s best DJs. Julius’s vocals on both New York Story & Unified recount a few of those late night adventures.

Next generation Irish artist Sean Den takes New York Story for a cruise down the M1, with a deeper grove, that comes over like a lost Junior Boys Own jam at the Sound Factory.

Valencia based Bedlam Belfast resident Ramie Burns, jacks and contorts Unified onto a darker, red lit, basement dance-floor!

We like to file these under hot, sweat, strobe light music!

It’s been a crazy but productive year for Marseille’s Matt Sassari. Having dropped releases on Kraftek, KMS, Bitten and Bouq, plus remixes for the likes of Tronic, Deeperfect and Form; the young producer is enjoying a rich and creative run that today sees him become the newest member of the SCI+TEC family with his label debut ‘Barglom’. 

The three track EP sees the Frenchman again showcase his deep, techy grooves as he opens with ‘You Know Chorus’ and its swollen pulsing bassline and fearsome rave stabs that jab throughout, breaking and yet enhancing the flow of the record. ‘Barglom’ kicks hard from the off but is tempered by subtle railroad horns that work brilliantly with Matt’s stripped beats to create a funky little engine. 

Final track ‘Harchinery’ sees Sassari team up with long time friend Matt Mor to create a darker and creepier finalé to the release while still maintaining the strong groovin’ backbone that runs throughout.

Paride Saraceni - Bitter Resolution [Terminal M]

Patrick´s sound can be described as straight ahead techno, but also taking in influences from house music. He presents tech-house music, partly monotone, but always under the aspect of being groovy. He combines the elements of a lot of different styles in order to show it as a whole.
 
In 1999 he founded the event and artist agency Global Tunes and organized various big events with internationally well-known artist. In March 2002 Patrick quit his job in this agency in order to focus on his own studio projects.
In 2003 he met Harold Todd from the Lenny Kravitz band and, following his passion to house music, they set up the project Sexy Pie. In 2004 they released their first single. In the same year he started to work for the Frankfurt based label Cocoon Recordings, where he is responsible for the digital distribution.
 
In 2006 his first EP gets released including a remix by Oliver Koletzki. A lot of other releases followed – cooperations with and remixes from artists like Guy Gerber, DJ Sneak, Boris Brejcha, Mendo, Alex Flatner, Broombeck and studio partner M.in speak for oneself.
 
In 2010 he produced the Ibiza-Spotlight-Podcast for Cocoon Recordings, which represented the sound of the label of this summer. Later that year he was also responsible for the Bonus Mix for the „Sound Of The Eleventh Season“ by Sven Väth.

2011 has been a highly productive year: Patrick´s remix for Extrawelt´s Titelheld hit the third place of the Beatport techno charts. He also mixed the retrospective Mix-CD of „11 Years Cocoon Recordings“. In the same year he finally set up his own label Insist Music.

Patrick´s own music and remixes can be found on countless esteemed label like Cocoon  Recordings, Suara, Kling Klong, Leena, Form Music, Octopus, BluFin and keinemusik amongst others. His remixes are highly appreciated by colleagues and so it is no wonder that artists like Extrawelt, Boys Noize and Lützenkirchen rely on his works.
