Timing is everything… As the world seems to be spinning backwards, Bastian Bux sums up our shared sentiment of injustice with two diplomatic dancefloor demonstrations: 'Protest' and 'Riot'.

The mysterious Elrow resident's MOOD debut, wherever you are in the world, these two Bastian Bux tracks couldn't have landed at a more poignant time. And while their titles resonate with meaning, their rolling techno sounds sooth with physical healing.

Instantly smacking of his now legendary Elrow sets where he weaves majestically between house and techno, both cuts are laden with a production warmth that will appeal to anyone on the house/tech axis.

'Protest' pounds with a robust kick and undulating 909 bass groove that peaks and troughs beneath a sinewy topline and trippy dubbed-out echoes. 'Riot' takes a more subversive tact with deeper low-end fluctuations as the subs wrap tightly around the kicks, big metallic percussive hits provide the melody and iced out pads ripple through the mix with euphoria.

Both clocking in at over eight stately minutes. Both delivered with the perfect level of introspection and dynamic power and thundering big-system weight. Both highlighting the fact that we are not alone and can share and shed our frustrations where we have for decades: the dancefloor. These are the most peaceful protests and riots you'll ever experience.

Patrick´s sound can be described as straight ahead techno, but also taking in influences from house music. He presents tech-house music, partly monotone, but always under the aspect of being groovy. He combines the elements of a lot of different styles in order to show it as a whole.
 
In 1999 he founded the event and artist agency Global Tunes and organized various big events with internationally well-known artist. In March 2002 Patrick quit his job in this agency in order to focus on his own studio projects.
In 2003 he met Harold Todd from the Lenny Kravitz band and, following his passion to house music, they set up the project Sexy Pie. In 2004 they released their first single. In the same year he started to work for the Frankfurt based label Cocoon Recordings, where he is responsible for the digital distribution.
 
In 2006 his first EP gets released including a remix by Oliver Koletzki. A lot of other releases followed – cooperations with and remixes from artists like Guy Gerber, DJ Sneak, Boris Brejcha, Mendo, Alex Flatner, Broombeck and studio partner M.in speak for oneself.
 
In 2010 he produced the Ibiza-Spotlight-Podcast for Cocoon Recordings, which represented the sound of the label of this summer. Later that year he was also responsible for the Bonus Mix for the „Sound Of The Eleventh Season“ by Sven Väth.

2011 has been a highly productive year: Patrick´s remix for Extrawelt´s Titelheld hit the third place of the Beatport techno charts. He also mixed the retrospective Mix-CD of „11 Years Cocoon Recordings“. In the same year he finally set up his own label Insist Music.

Patrick´s own music and remixes can be found on countless esteemed label like Cocoon  Recordings, Suara, Kling Klong, Leena, Form Music, Octopus, BluFin and keinemusik amongst others. His remixes are highly appreciated by colleagues and so it is no wonder that artists like Extrawelt, Boys Noize and Lützenkirchen rely on his works.
