Dies Irae translates to "Day of Wrath" and is part of the traditional roman catholic Requiem Chants (the liturgy for the Death). Basically it is known for images of Divine Judgment and the responsibilities for your life actions. The Chant stems from the 13th century and has a long history in endless music, art and literature.There were lots of impressive and sometimes even scary musicial compositions using this text throught the centuries (for example by Mozart). Johann Wolfgang von Goethe used the first, the sixth and the seventh stanza of the hymn in the scene "Cathedral" in the first part of his drama Faust (1808). The well-know "wrath" and "judgment" aspects are only part of the first half of the Chant, while it has a turn of redemption and hope in the middle. I tried to portrait that by changing the atmosphere of the Chant there and trying to get to the core of what it's meant to be. Also it is important, that the idea of Divine Judgment refers to the lower and fallen aspects of men, while the path of light is portray in the second half of the chant - a process that we all should go through in the course of our lifes. As always, there is a deeper hidden mystery in these chants regarding your own inner being and which isn't always be found in the litteral meaning.

Dies Irae - Thunder Version

Signum Magnum is the title of the Gregorian Chant for the Introit of the Feast of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, in August 15 and was given in 1951. It is similar to Puer Natus, the chant used for the Introit for Christmas Day. Joyous, while observing the solemnity of the feast, Signum Magnum is drawn from the opening of Revelation 12 in Sacred Scripture.

Signum Magnum

"Gloria in excelsis Deo" is a Christian hymn known also as the Greater Doxology, Angelic Hymn or Hymn of the Angels. The name is often abbreviated to Gloria in Excelsis or simply Gloria. The Latin translation is traditionally attributed to Saint Hilary of Poitiers (300–368), who may have learned it while in the East.

Missa Regia Gloria

"Veni Sancte Spiritus" is an ancient christian mystical prayer, used to achieve unity with the Divine spark and Spirit that lies deep within you, Divine Inspiration and Divine Transformation of your being. Today, after seeing spiritual and religious core truths corrupted and externalized to such an extent, it's nessecary to emphasize and reclaim this original understanding that can be found in almost every mystical tradition on earth. It's not about external things, but about you connecting with the Divine Dimension, hidden deep in yourself, overcoming the actual state of lower ego and our fallen nature. Once this inner connection is made, its higher forces illuminate ones being and liberate from illusion, disconnection and external control. It's about time to reclaim what is ours.

Veni Sance Spiritus

The Nicene Creed is a nearly 2000 year old statement of belief widely used in Christian liturgy. It is called "Nicene" because it was originally adopted in the city of Nicaea (present day İznik, Turkey) by the First Council of Nicaea in 325. In 381, it was amended at the First Council of Constantinople, and the amended form is referred to as the Nicene or the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed. The Oriental Orthodox and Assyrian churches use this profession of faith with the verbs in the original plural ("we believe"), but the Eastern Orthodox and Catholic churches convert those verbs to the singular ("I believe"). The Anglican and many Protestant denominations generally use the singular form, sometimes the plural. In the western church, the "Filioque" was added - and is one of the main theological arguments between eastern and western christianity. On Sundays and solemnities, one the long or short form of this creed is recited in the Roman Rite Mass after the homily. In the Byzantine Rite, the Nicene Creed is sung or recited at the Divine Liturgy, immediately preceding the Anaphora (Eucharistic Prayer), and is also recited daily at compline.

Lux Et Origo Credo

The "Salve Regina", also known as the "Hail Holy Queen", is a Marian hymn and one of four Marian antiphons sung at different seasons within the Christian liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church. The Salve Regina is traditionally sung at Compline (final prayer of the day). The Hail Holy Queen is also the final prayer of the Rosary. Mystically speaking it is a song to the spiritual force of Purity, which was lost through the sin of man and gives birth to the process of Deification and reintegration with God. In the christian tradition it is personalized as Mary the Virgin and Mother of God. This melody is used by Cistercian Monasteries. who traditionally are greatly connected to Mary in their spirituality. Each monastery is devoted to her, and it's said that it was one of their most promintent Monks, Bernhard of Clairvaux, who added the final line to the Salve Regina, while being in mystical ecstasy.

Salve Regina (Monastic Tone)

"Pange Lingua" is a Hymn about the mystery of the Eucharist, where God gives himself to the longing people in mystical union. It was written by philosopher and theologian Saint Thomas Aquinas, who contemplated this mystery his whole life and often is depicted having a divine light illuminating his understanding.

Pange Lingua

"Asperges me" is a Latin Gregorian Chant antiphon. It traditionally accompanies the so called Asperges, the ritual sprinkling of the participants in the catholic rite by the celebrant with holy water. This is part of the entrance ritual, where a spiritual cleansing of the people takes place. Its words are taken from Psalm 51 (50).

The deeper and consequential meaning of this prayer and rite is, that the entrance to the spiritual reality is only possible by the thorough inner purification of heart, mind and being, which then with Divine help opens up the entrance to the inner mysteries.

Asperges Me

The "Our Father" or "Lord's Prayer" is found in the New Testament as a guiding line on how to pray. While the major part of the world today uses it to pray to an external God, residing in unknown external spheres, mystics throughout the centuries used it as a spiritual guideline to transform their spiritual being towards the internal and existential union with God: "You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.” (Lk 17:21), "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst?" (1 Cor 3:16), "But you when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father, the One in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you." (Mt 6:6). This is the lost key and misunderstanding, that needs to be rediscovered in our times again.
