Oya is de machtige Yoruba-godin van verandering, storm, vuur en transformatie – zij vernietigt het oude om ruimte te maken voor het nieuwe.

Een meisje rent door het vuur – niet om te vluchten, maar om erdoorheen te gaan.  
Uit de kou van decadentie, uit het verraad van moraliteit, uit de god van geld en likes, door de vlammen van transformatie rechtstreeks naar de zon van een nieuw tijdperk.

“Decadentie” is geen afscheidslied. Het is de laatste schreeuw van een stervende tijdperk – en tegelijkertijd de eerste ademtocht van wedergeboorte.
