Once again, Break New Soil welcomes another new face to the ever-growing labelroster: Christopher Bleckmann from Cologne. If you might not be familiar with his name, you sure are with his music: Christopher is one half of Niederflur, who have been releasing music on Richie Hawtin´s Minus label for over eight years, with several twelve-inch releases and an outstanding full length album. 

On remix duty we are happy to welcome back Mr. Patrick Siech! His “Dome EP” sure was a landmark in our young but growing label history, and marked a turning point in the sound of the label. His remix for Cold Comfort once again shows Patrick´s great talent and underlines his status as one of the producers to watch in 2011 and beyond!

Very special night for me this one. One of the few clubs in the world where you don't have to be consistent and functional, where people are really curious about which track is gonna come next, and where you can do something special and interesting behind the decks. Expect the unexpected, it all makes sense if you were there :)

For the first release in 2011, Gregor Tresher and Break New Soil are happy to present two of the new faces in Swedish Techno: Patrick Siech &amp; Per Hammar.   Right after the success of his massive “Crude EP” on Adam Beyer´s famous Drumcode imprint, Patrick comes up with the title track “Dome” - and boy what a follow-up it is! Over ten minutes he keeps the tension high, teases us with the raw force of “Dome” over just a few little kick-drum pauses until the track goes through the roof in on hell of a break!

On the flip we have “Hot Mess”, another primetime weapon, and this one Patrick produced together with Per Hammar, who made a name for himself with releases on Great Stuff, Starlight and Kant over the last year, but it was especially his track “El Salvador “ on Mija Recordings a few months ago that introduced Per to a bigger audience, causing quite a stir on dancefloors worldwide!

This is what we think Techno should sound like in 2011.
