Sidney Charles joins the I’m A House Gangster collective with a 3 track EP, after gracing labels such as Avotre, Off Recordings, VIVa MUSiC, Area Remote and Suara, with tracks that have drawn support from Loco Dice, DJ Sneak, Fatboy Slim, Marco Carola, Steve Lawler and many more.

The tracks on Hustler Stomp show a darker side of Sidney’s vision of house music. All three tracks are characterized by raw, dusty house grooves, thick kicks and heavy basslines.  Sidney adds, “I really wanted them to catch some attention on the dancefloor and added funk/hip hop/breakbeat orientated vocals.  All in all my intention with this release is to also bring raw house more likely available for bigger floors.”

Born as Sidney Charles Hurricane Vieljans in Hamburg, Germany, Sidney’s introduction to music was through the magic of two 1210s spinning Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Breakbeat and Turntablism, before transitioning to the faster BPMs of House and Techno and the culture which accompanied dance music.  Sidney is clear to state that he is not a musician, nor a percussionist, but a collector. A collector of culture and experiences.  Speaking of the I’m A House Gangster sound, Sidney comments, “As the House Gangster style points out, House Music is not only music, its a way of thinking, acting and living. The attitude towards house music is the most important thing, that stands behind the whole House Gangster sound.”

Harry Romero and Joeski (aka HR & SKI) get their Jazz freak on for Summer 2015, delivering a quirky 2 track EP aimed squarely at the dancers! Armed with a fierce jackin' sway, 'Ghetto Bounce' comes decorated with cool Jazz licks and breaks down to a sublime drum solo, before bringing back the groove. 'Rewind It Back' is a no messin', 4-to-tha-floor intense slab of House. It's bumping deep bass throbs to the raw pressure beats while delivering an uber spoken word, fused with catchy vocal hooks.

"Ghetto Bounce' came about last year when Joeski and I were in studio having the hardest time coming up with something that moved us. Went for a ride to clear our heads and put the radio on some random Jazz station and right away the music caught our attention. We shazzamed what we heard and that's all we needed to turn around and go right back to the studio… 2 hours later 'Ghetto Bounce' was born! Keeping in line with the vibe of the first track, we went crate diggin' for something funky and fat. And that's where 'Rewind It Back' was conceived. We wanted to keep the whole EP really striped back, raw and produced just the right amount. Combining more than 20 years of experience as individuals in the underground House music scene,  legends Harry Romero and Joeski have crossed paths in 2014 to create a SUPER DUO - HR & SKI. As solo producers and DJ's both have had years of touring and very successful releases under their belts. They have played at all legendary venues like The Ministry of Sound to Pacha Ibiza and have graced the DJ booths of every important night club on all continents.
Just google their names to see the long list of music released as solo producers. Joeski has been at the helm of his very successful Maya Records for way over a decade and Harry has had his Bambossa Records, which has been burning the underground since the late 90's.

The pair met in WMC 2014. Harry says, "I was playing for DJ Sneak that night in Miami and I bumped into Joeski right after my set. We talked for a bit and exchanged phone numbers." Little did these 2 know that  this exchange would be the beginning of a new journey that would spark future releases on Suara, Stereo, Defected and Maya, causing a storm last year with their productions. The success of these releases brought HR & SKI to the world stage in Mexico for the infamous and very important BPM Festival, where they played a set for the record books. Joeski says, "What we do behind the decks is NOT a back 2 back. We play on 2 Mixers and 4 decks simultaniously. We are both mixing together at the same time and it's MAJIC!"

Skyler Taugher, aka SHADED returns to the label with his first SCI+TEC release for 2015. 
Following his last release ‘’Gender Bender’’ on the label that was heavily inspired by his passion for heady vocals., this EP sees him return to the darker side of his alter ego.

Now a firmly established, some might say veteran of the family, the Los Angeles native has carved a musical niche with his ever inventive and groove heavy productions. A fan of cutting,  twisting and teasing vocals, SHADED has, over the last years, delivered a host of SCI+TEC highlights. His previous outing, December’s ‘Gender Bender’, found a wealth of support from the likes of Oliver Huntemann, Gregor Tresher, Eats Everything, Claude VonStroke and many more, and saw it straddling the divides of Techno, Tech House and Bass music. 

With his latest EP, 'Electric Auto Pitch' sees the California producer delve into the deeper and noticeably twisted realm of his subconscious, showcasing his signature bass line to the max as the exploding lead synth takes you on a proper dance floor trip. The driving bass and percussion combination screams peak time techno, as the haunting yet subdued vocals caress the fine line SHADED loves to tango with. 

'Glued And Screwed’ takes a lighter approach, riding along to the arpeggiating synth hook. Rounding off the EP is 'Wide Ride' which explores SHADED’s version of minimalistic acid techno, and is sure to keep the funk alive.

Long-term brother of the label Matthias Tanzmann makes his full debut on Saved Records. And it is well and truly worth the wait. The German stalwart delivers a hedonistic two track EP that places distinctive bassline-led grooves at the centre of a sound that is bristling with personality, energy and adventure.
Despite the flat, thudding kick drum that announces the track, “No Sleep” immediately sets out its stall as a visceral tech groover with funky, tribal drums. By the time the simple yet deliriously fun bassline joins the party, the track is a completely derailed and unhinged slice of party atmospheres. Rapid-fire drum machines skitter across the top to fuel a dancefloor stamina that drives momentum forward.

“Sleazy Rider” is a deeper, weightier workout with ghetto bass as its backbone. Around the grumbling bass you have shuffling percussion, chopped up vocal FX and some wildly tumbling basslines that inject a sense of swing into proceedings. The power of the bottom end sweeps you up and pulls you along for the ride. Clearly in full on party mode, Tanzmann has once again become the facilitator of no sleep.

You Got The Love (original)

SEFF debuts on Underground Audio doing what he does best here courtesy of a new EP that’s full of killer up-tempo hues and isn’t for the feign of heart. To put it mildly: this one will positively desiccate any dancefloor its allowed to roam free on.

The aptly named ‘’Warehouse’’ gets us underway. A booming track full of brilliant high-end notes, it’ll keep you intrigued throughout. On remix duty is none other than sometime Hot Creations man, Robert James. His remix is a more curious proposition full of ample percussive textures and a groove that keeps your attention firmly locked in throughout. 

The second half of the release gets going with ‘’Liquid Nights’’,  an unconventional track that’s buoyed by a host of spiky synths and unlikely vocal snippets. The drums are pronounced too, giving it a vague techno edge that helps lend it that something extra. 12Stories’ remix is more languid and laid-back, and in the process it helps give the release an added diverse gloss. Good times aplenty on this one.

Next up on VIVa LIMITED we have a four track EP from Jacky, an exciting up and coming talent breaking out of the Manchester scene where he holds a residency for well established brand mute!. 

His track Nineteen was released earlier this year on Keep It Zen Records, and has since been a fixture of Steve Lawlers sets, who touted it as his track of the Summer. This recognition earned him a coveted guest appearance for VIVa Warriors at Sankeys Ibiza in August, along with a request to hear new unsigned material, which culminated in the form of the Sinabit EP. 

With releases and remixes already under his belt on a score of well respected labels including; Mile End Records, Straight Ahead Music, Sanity, and Safe Music - Jacky is setting himself up for a bright future. Previous releases from Jacky have earner support from; Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Nick Curly, Santé, Acid Mondays, Richy Ahmed, and of course Steve Lawler to name a few.

Saved Records welcome French DJ, producer and all-round club aficionado Timid Boy into the fray with his subtle yet brilliant distinctive EP. Test Test EP sees him settling into the kind of bass-driven, underground focused techno sound that he reveled in as resident for Rex club in Paris.

A simple but addictive bassline provides the backbone to “Test Test” a track that ebbs and flows with fluid progression. Working a lush groove into the mix, Timid Boy creates a bottom end full of depth and personality. Punchy drums and clicking percussion bring a purposeful tempo without detracting any of the track’s personality or charm.

“I can Do It” is an altogether more frenetic cut. Rapid-fire rhythms permeate the upper crust as a jagged bassline ploughs along below. Driven by rolling bass and flickering FX, the track chugs away with relentless energy and unshifting confidence.

Moving into highly hypnotic and almost surreal textures with “The Girl” we are sucked further into the subterranean soundscape of timid boy. Subtle melodic flickers sketch over the pulsating drive of the track, interplaying perfectly with the enigmatic vocals from French singer-songwriter and actor Arnaud Lellouche, aka Arno Joey. Showing a deft ability for escalating the intensity without blowing the top off, Timid Boy finds a wonderfully unique way to round off his highly impressive EP.

Don't be fooled by the title, Huddersfield's S-Tee can, and definitely will, play bass to lethal effect.

One half of garage duo Andy Jay & S-Tee, the producer steps out on his own to become the latest edition to boutique London label Club Soda Records - joining a small but impressive roster that boasts the likes of Funkstepz and Woozee.

S-Tee's 3-track EP offers a selection of dancefloor killers, but pick of the bunch for us here at Data Transmission has to be the title-track. With a tight percussive combo and grimy low-end, 'Cant Play Bass' will have feet shuffling and faces screwed for the duration.

Emerging in 2012, Leftwing & Kody have become regular fixtures in Beatport’s Top 10, releasing on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Hot Creations and MadTech when not on their own Lost Records imprint.
