Atônne Pride Mix

It’s a hot summer night. Friends are arriving from all over the world. We had the plan to go out, and we did. Perfect night, perfect sound, perfect music. Lots of laughter, lots of new people, sweating, dancing, making out with strangers who will be gone afterwards.
Of course, I had to Shazam some tracks – not only for the memories, but also to capture a night we shouldn’t forget. So I took all the songs and made a mix out of them.
I have to apologize though: in the beginning I messed up the transition a bit. Then it’s perfect, but around the 2-hour mark I lost focus once and left both channels on. I’m sorry for the 30 seconds I screwed up. I am still learning. So its ok.

Entlein - a friends night out

This mix was actually only for my ears, because I tried out some new transition tools and played around with how to make the mixes better. 
There are some good transitions and some really bad ones – but I still love the track selection.

These are the tracks from when I first started experiencing the Berlin clubbing scene, with Bar 25, Panorama Bar and all the other goodies that existed back then. 
The track selection is from 2008–2013. what was played at the clubs and afterhours.

Anyway, what I wanted to say: the transitions are not perfect, but the track selection is. And I wanted to share it with you, because these were the times – before social media, before phones on the dancefloor.

This track was inspired by my friend James, who’s not only a close friend but also one of my DJ teachers. He recorded a little secret private set, the kind that only close friends, kind souls, or true music lovers usually get to hear. Anyway, it was so good that I thought it’s time again to record what I play and actually hear my own progress. Getting better and better 🤓😍 I started off quite happy, emotional, housy… but then my inner tech house queen came over me, things got faster, and I ended up playing tracks from the late ’90s and early ’00s.
Had so much fun recording this one — hope you enjoy listening! Just a little autumn treat!!

As some of you know, I decided on my 42nd birthday to learn a new skill every year. Nothing job-related - just focused on pleasure and fun. As children, we do that all the time. As adults, we often don't. Why is that?

That's what I was wondering. So I made the decision: every year, 'learn something new. Maybe l'll master it, maybe won't - but l'll try. And that in itself is exciting.
This year, I chose to learn how to DJ - playing my favorite music: house, tech house, and all that good stuff. I'm taking lessons with teachers from all over the world, both in person and over Skype. It's so much fun, and l've realized how much I love music - not just dancing, but also discovering new tracks, mixing, and more.

I'm far from perfect, but I decided to start recording myself while I practice and to share those sets with the world. Yes, there will be some fuck-ups here and there - but the music is nice, and with every set, get a little bit better. As my knowledge grows, so will my sets.

So enjoy it - wherever you are, however you like.
