Askari - Shankra Festival 2017 | Music Application

Andrea Ljekaj and Diyala team up to bring us a filthy little track called 'The Unsaid' to Berlin based label Save Us. The title track starts off deep and moody, filtered percussion, before slammin' in with a groovy techie swaggering vibe, as the vocal lands, creating a tasty initial intense moment of coolness. The vocal itself is a twisted trippy harmonised vocal, using a double tracking, creating depth and a fierceness, backed by moody growls as the automation meanders. Sophisticated and solid stuff for sure! 'Silent Change' is next up, and a is mysterious and rather profound slab of melancholic electronica tinged techno. A bubbling bassline and pitched spoken vocals create an enigmatic soundscape, resulting where moodiness with a glimmer of light proceeds. If you prefer vocal free tracks, there's also an instrumental of The Unsaid included here too!

We're In Focus on the "steady focus" of Dharana, Brazilian psy producer, and also the first Zenonesque artist from the Americas, followed by a set reflecting his diversely inspired musical message.

The process to keep your mind steady and concentrated is exactly how it best describes Dharana. One of the most fresh Psychedelic producers from Brazil focused on the experience to innovate and blend styles such as dubstep, glitch, breaks, jazz. In 2011 Dharana landed in Australia and became the first brazilian project to join Zenon Records. In February 2012 Dharana released his debut ep - The Other Side - with remixes from world high class musicians like Tetrameth, Sensient, Hypogeo. Dharana already collaborated with Tetrameth, Hypogeo, Autonomech, One Tasty Morsel and that experience, contributed to develop the unique skill to create an introspective and blessing experience on the dance floor, full of details and cutting edge drive simply called by him as Progressive Intelligent Music.

Dharana has several releases around the best labels in the globe. On his debut album - SINGULAR STATE OF FOCUS - he brought some fresh glitch and driving tracks. And after his first european tour Dharana has been around the best gigs in Brazil showing more fresh and new stuff!

Unfortunately for us we found ourselves in the midst of a giant storm. another example of how small we are. many countries start to go back to some measure of normality, but it will take time, and I personally believe it will never be the same again. 
My deepest love to all those who lost family members & friends, and to all the others who struggle on this new routine. Big love for Spain, The UK, The US, The Netherlands & to one of my favorite countries - Italy.
I see it as a message from a higher power, God, the universe, call it however you want - to be more modest & to appreciate what we have. "you thought you had problems? not only they won't be solved, but I'll also show you what problems really are. did you want MORE? not only you won't get reacher - you'll be poorer." 
I made this set from the most favorite Egorythmia tracks to my opinion and I hope it will make your next 83 minutes a bit nicer with everything that goes around. Stay safe & I hope that better times will come.

Welcome to our 43rd podcast featuring our new addition to the family, Priest from South Africa! We are super excited to have such a talented musician part of the PsynOpticz family. His unique and powerful production style adds another flavour to the label and he has showcased his music on many stages in South Africa including the mighty Origin Festival! Here is a little bit more about him :

Priest CT aka Rameez "a young producer" spent his first few years of ‘trancing’ simply enjoying the music, embracing the lifestyle and studying the true essence of this phenomenal way of life. One could say that he had seen the proverbial light.
Early March of 2015 saw the ordination of the psytrance artist we now know as Priest; and even though the title has been my nickname for all of his adult life, this was the birth of someone completely new. The moniker itself is by no means religiously binding but at the same time is not merely a baseless gimmick that sounds cool. No; what you get when you encounter Priest is a young man, pure of heart, teaching without even preaching a word but using his own life as an example to spread his message: live as cleanly a life as you possibly can.
He has graced some pretty amazing Cape Town stages including festivals Alien Safari Wild Spirits, Rez, Origin, Vortex, Transylvania and Wacky Woods to name a few!!
