These songs have been recorded at Pondicherry.  Late Dr Raghunath Pani has sung these songs with great devotion at the very young age of 80 in the year 2003. Only the his own traditional tanpura has been used for the recording. some of the songs are in traditional while many others have music given by dr Raghunath Pani himself. Few of the songs are also written by him and his son Dr subas Pani with the music by him. these songs are only for posterity and welcome to all to listen and enjoy the music. Dr raghunath pani was born in Gurandi of Paralakhemundi in odisha and trained in classical carnatic veena and later in classical hindustani vocal from patna and was a radio artist in all india radio kolkatta and Patna before independence and early part of 1950's. He was also an educationist, poet, writer, musician, composer, dramatist etc.

A rare ashtapadi of the Gitagovinda set to Anandabhairabi, Rupaka - traditional tune prevalent in the Ganjam sampradaya of Odissi music. This is as taught by Acharjya Tarini Charan Patra (1893-1979). The treatment of the Sanskrit lyric is not just fluid but also distinctly Odishan, as can be seen from the tune.
