- What is a Pattern?

A pattern is a repetetive sequence of elements.
There are 2 types of patterns : Arithmetic Series and Symbolic Patterns.

To find the next element in a pattern, we use inductive reasoning.

Arithmetic Series - Series of numbers that follow a certain pattern.
Symbolic Patterns - repetetive series of shapes.


- Conjecture is a prediction based on inductive reasoning.

- Conditional statements are statements in the form of a hypothesis or an Hypothesis or If-Then Format

there are:

Counterexample - an element that disproves a conditional statement / Conjecture
Inverse - Negates both, the Hypothesis and the Conclusion of a statement.
Converse - Switches the Hypothesis and Conclusion of a statement
Contrapositive - Switches Hypothesis and Conclusion of a statement and negates both.
