Our Brutal projects continue with the release of Dubs: Volume 2 Brutal; where our studio machinations cross over into our obsessions with Béton Brut, modernism and minimalism. This release is a result of that collision.

Four tracks for angular futurism that was always promised but never delivered. The future we're told is always on the next page, inaccessible to the proles, but that's never stopped us conjuring up music for the congregation

Because we got invited to play on a 3D sound system, we thought we’d rewrite a lot our new tracks so they’d work with the system properly. We’ve worked on these systems before and it’s difficult to do a good job beyond the gimmicks and to not wear the listener out but we are always up for a challenge and interested in new ideas.

This of course lead from one thing to another and after a week we’d reworked over 50 minutes of music. Here we present a small selection of the tracks for your pleasure along with several new ones.

.At 10 years old, Michel Simoes had his first musical experience at a radio Station, where his cousin used to work as a dj. 
Soon he acquired the rudimentary knowledge of jingles & radio tracks mash-up.
However, he quickly gave up (too commercial) to look into indie, rock, punk labels & bought his very first guitar at 15 (which he turned into a bass guitar).
He played everyday with his musician friends to find the most stimulating riffs.

Fascinated by bass frequencies, he kept on looking for the most original one in every music style.
It ended up with a revelation: the sample, which opened up new music horizons.

This passionate researcher of new sounds (influenced by what happened all over the world – especially in London, Brussels & Berlin) found his vocation in 1995 : the djing.

Michel is one of the founder of NOTONE (organization & label) in Orleans & Paris, & plays with a few passionate people (Onda sin Control, Romain Play , Pierre Pevée & P3P & since 2010 Leftorium, Aqua Veda with Arcadia festival - , Bocal f (video mix ). He meets a lot of dj : Zip aka Dimbiman, Mathias Kaden, Superpitcher, Anthony Rother & many more ... 

He also organizes electronic parties, such as the well-known “No love No life” at Astrolabe (Orleans) with great djs (Arnaud Rebotini, Prince off …)

This outstanding dj will treat you good with deep house, minimal, catchy & unpretentious music during his efficient & deep set, so book it -
