Alright everyone, here goes nothin! A couple of months ago I was contacted by the management of an artist named Neon Hitch to do an official remix of her new single "Gold" featuring Tyga. The first time I heard the song I wasn't really sure about how I could make it work with the style of music that I compose, but I found some real excitement in the challenge, and also in the opportunity to collaborate and work with some of these artists making big time moves in the music industry. The process of breaking down and recomposing this song was actually really fun for me, and inspired some new techniques with a style that I don't think I shoot for enough! Well after I finished it, I sent it back, and the entire team had nothing but ecstatic responses, even the record label, Warner Bros Records. Well, long story short, after all of the excitement , something was lost, a bridge in the communication somewhere, and WB decided to move on with the remix EP, without my remix. Sad day, but it reminded me why I really wanted to take on this project in the first place. 1) To take a challenge and see what I could create with it, 2) to create more art that I can share with all of the people who support me and my movement of light, aka, all of you.
