Sri-Lanka born, Sweden raised, the enigmatic @Kalawila has an affinity for the uncertain, drawing inspiration from unconventional experiences and remote travels.

Through his time in Berlin, he realised techno was a modern way of describing a fundamental feeling dating back to ancient times. He explores this feeling within his DJ sets and productions on the likes of Bossmusik and his own label Mountain Explosion Device, examining textures and the void-like space between spaces.

We are happy to present the first Patterns of Perception mix of 2017 – a forward thinking, uncompromising affair from the immensely talented Swedish artist.

Driven by a common love for deep, emotional and hypnotic dark music they like to call "Voodoo Music" these two guys started a new concept downtown in Fuse club called "Initiate". After two years playing side by side they decided to launch "Initiate Shamans", a duo in which they play together on the decks.

@Axymt. aka Axy Tmt is one our most precious resident artists. He has been spinning records at every single event since we started to spread music in our hidden forest - 3 years ago, proving his versatility by playing sets at any time of the day or of the night. 

Last summer we've entrusted him the opening duty, and he shown once again his ability to take people straight in his own world, with a captivating, blissful ambient selection. We are very glad to present the recording of this set, played on Friday, July 20th 2018 at the Forêt stage.

Sydney born and now Berlin based, Hysteria is a product of his surroundings. Alongside friends and resident DJs, he co-created Patterns of Perception in 2016. Through their carefully curated parties at OHM Berlin, About Blank and the mix series, the platform has established itself as a destination for a more contemporary approach to techno.

As a creative director in his day to day, he always has an eye on aesthetics and narratives, a skill he uses to craft sets to always gets the dance floor moving at any time of night or day. He would describe his sound as deep groovy cosmic vibes.

This set was recorded at the Patterns of Perception Three Year party at About Blank, Berlin.

Vrika is the moniker under the Spanish producer Fernando Blanco. His music is a mixture of hypnotic rhythms, ambient soundscapes and organic textures, with a tribal output. Starting from techno and move to freely different subgenres. He has released music on Doppt Zykler and other underground labels. Recently founded the project RVD alongside Discknoked and Randoom, focused on slow techno and live improvisations.

Vrika 는 스페인 프로듀서 Fernando Blanco 의 또다른 이름이다. 그의 음악은 최면적 리듬과 앰비언트 사운드스케이프 그리고 유기적 질감을, 트라이벌한 방식으로 혼합한다. 또한 테크노에서 출발하여, 또다른 서브장르들로 자유롭게 움직인다. 그는 Doppt Zykler 와 같은 여러 언더그라운드 레이블들에서 음악을 발매했다. 최근 Dicknoked 와 Randoom 과 라이브 즉흥연주와 느린 템포의 테크노에 초점을 두는 프로젝트 RVD 를 창립했다.

CALMA is a platform dedicated to less conventional electronic music with an horizontal vocation. The group consists of F-on, Vrika, Diskoan and Josephine from a_mal_gam_a, and they are working from Madrid, Spain, since 2019.

:: 2010-2016-ig Universal Language név alatt játszik dj-ként és jelentet meg felvételeket olyan kiadóknál, mint a Lucidflow, Etoka Records vagy a hazai illetőségű Plug & Lay records. 
Saját munkái mellett 2013-tól Bios-szal közösen, DirekTorz néven alapítanak egy analóg live act formációt. Zenéik eddig a Lârm, Tapes Sublimating és Exiles kiadók gondozásában jelentek meg.
