For this month's mix, we welcome Maïore, a French and Berlin-based artist, vinyl selector, and curator of @preceptco. Maïore's sound is rooted in the deep, minimal, and dubby realms of electronic music, today he takes us on a journey through gentle melodies and subtle grooves, drifting between ambient and downtempo. Conscious Listening Mix Series - 37 - Maïore

The Sustain-Release co-founder steps up to the Phonica mix just ahead of the acclaimed festival’s 11th year. 
New York has an iconic history when it comes to club music, and over the years has seen many great names emerge from its underground scene. In modern times, Aurora Halal is undoubtedly one of those names. 
Aurora has become a staple at forward-thinking institutions like Berghain, De School, and her home base, Nowadays, where she holds a residency. Alongside her international touring, she’s carved out her own vital space through the long-running Mutual Dreaming parties and Sustain-Release, the DIY-rooted festival she co-founded, which continues to push boundaries as it enters its second decade.
Her Phonica mix offers a vivid snapshot of her deep, intuitive approach to DJing—captured live at Mansions, a cozy NYC wine bar turned house party haven. Known for her genre-fluid sets that blend hypnotic techno, house, acid and experimental textures this is the perfect calling card to showcase why she can hold it down with a range of greats like DJ Nobu, Vladimir Ivkovic and more.
We had a chat about the mix with Aurora as well as touching off Sustain and some of her favorite moments at the festival.

This week. welcoming a dear friend and one of my all-time favourite DJs & producers, Swiss wizard @agonis-amenthia - part of the mystical Basel crew - @amenthia-recordings.

A "techno" sound so unique, modern & boundary pushing, it makes you question the genre entirely. Agonis has become known for his bass, techno, dub, idm-everything.. infused releases, always meticulous and full of surprises. On top of a an extremely reliable and exciting back-catalogue of music and always on-point curation of Amenthia alongside his label co-head Garcon, he is also an incredible DJ. Here for Animalia a special mix inspired by many special shared moments on the dancefloor <3  pure euphoria!

 Welcome to the Transmissions mix series, featuring sets recorded at our parties at FOLD. 

For our opening mix, we’re delighted to share a recent Steam Room session with the Bangkok-based selector and producer Sunju Hargun. 

For two hours, he delivered a masterclass of immersive, deep and psychedelic techno. And true to style, the set is a seamless flow of intricate rhythms and subtly shifting textures, shadowy grooves and pulsating basslines.  

This mix was mastered in the Area52 Studio.

"this mix is a late summer, abstract downtempo selection. It is a fairly restrained and delicate flow, with luminous and hazy qualities."

berlin-based, italy-born dj & producer notte infinita graces the 909 series this week with a session that glistens and glows. starting with the dreamy downtempo soundscapes of kincaid, konduku, and joe caven, the mix leans on insect-like drums and synths that sound like mating calls in the night before moving into more introspective and darker moods. it’s a session made to soundtrack hazy early mornings whilst you melt away in your surroundings, soaking everything in. 

notte infinita is one of my go to producers. his remix of big hand’s ‘girde maye / astere’ has been on repeat ever since it was released ~ it’s a challenge in of itself to not include it in every set or mix i play. it has that dreamy, hazy quality that you will find in his 909 mix with a loopy vocal to get lost in. with a strong affinity to soundsystem culture and sound design, notte infinita’s productions can go from the slippery dancehall mutations that are found on his manila killer float / slippery ruff ep to epic world building as found on hi-tech roller remix of priori’s pareidolia. there’s also further notable releases on in:dex and oscilla sound.

Soulful, breezy and groove-laden, softi's Patterns of Perception 122 shimmers with her kaleidoscopic, minimal sound. Weightless sparks float and flicker in dim light. Time dilates; seasons drift.

Hey Jasmin, how’s it going? What's been happening for you lately?
I’m well, I’m currently living between Lisbon and London this summer which has been a dream! Great food, beach sessions and writing music. It’s been a wild 3 months and I’m just getting myself ready for the seasons changing!

What can you tell us about your mix?
For this mix I wanted to mould my love of groovy minimal and psychedelic tones for the moody season ahead, which is usually my signature sound! I have been producing a lot of this recently and some of my unreleased bits are exclusively inside 💜

⁠Is there a track or tracks that are extra special for you?
I’d probably say my own productions are the special to me as it reminds me of how much I have developed as a producer and artist. I love connecting with the tracks and being able to create my own atmospheric world for listeners to get lost in. But one track that I always come back to is "bluep" by Underground City Loop (a producer from Aus). I have been playing this track for years and it has every sonic element you'd want from a track - low end sub groove with dark melodic synths.
