Marco Lucchi - Once full of life [Naviar Haiku # 512] w/Night Note

This is the first of series of soundtracks that are themes to made up titles for radio plays. The melody for this track was made in Fugue Machine. There are two instances of the Hillman synth app panned left and right. Each of these are going through an effect called Speaker. Grand Finale is being used for mastering. 
The title was inspired by a recent visit to London as I walked through a small City of London burial ground and suddenly found that the one of many people who were buried there was William Blake (and indeed John Bunyan).

The MUIZ Collective (Michael Bonaventure & Luiz Henrique Yudo) this year presented the seventh edition of THE SONORITY CABINET, 'The MAGIC CABINET', once again in the magnificent Grote Kerk in Oosthuizen, The Netherlands, with its magickal late 14th Century organ and fine, glowing acoustic. The programme was a musical journey through the realms of magic, imaginary worlds, illusion, spells, sacred geometry, mysterious codes, folk magic and mythical creatures. There were new compositions for organ, piano & electronics by Michael Bonaventure, Luiz Henrique Yudo and guest composers Huw Morgan (UK), Lauren Redhead (UK) and Adrian Foster (Canada). Complementing these works was music by Guillaume de Machaut, anonymous 14th & 16th Century pieces and a Traditional Scottish melody arranged for the organ.

This immersive ambient composition is built upon fragments of a cassette tape unearthed from my collection, remnants of my teenage years. Despite its heavy deterioration, as I immersed myself in its playback, memories flooded back, vividly resurrecting the process of its original recording. This introspective journey prompted deep contemplation, inviting me to ponder the continuity between my past and present selves. What enduring traits define me, resonating in both my personal and creative evolution?

Through this musical exploration, I seek not only to unravel this enigma for myself but also to invite listeners to embark on a parallel introspection. Together, we delve into the timeless question: What enduring essence connects us to our childhood selves, shaping the individuals we become? Join me in this sonic journey, where nostalgia intertwines with introspection, inviting us to reflect on the unbroken threads of identity that bind us across time.
