This Tonepoem was created from a story called "The Chicago Abyss" tha appeared on the Ray Bradbury Theatre and I called it "Dangerous Memory."

Fave quotes from the show are:

1). "The things silly or not that people remember are the things that people will search for again."

2). "I just wanted people to think where we're going what we've done."

3). char1 says: "you were there, you saw, you did nothing?!" char2 says: "Fight one fool to save another?"

This Tonepoem was created from a Ray Bradbury Theatre story I sampled called "Usher II." It is a story about a future where the 'moral' police burn the past... but it is a story with a happy ending if you are a fan of Mr. Edgar Allan Poe? :)

My fave quote is where the main character says to the moral police: "There has always been a minority afraid of something, and a great majority afraid of the past, afraid of the future, afraid of themselves..."

my second #mashup from the 1970's #tv series #logansrun... the episode was called fear factor and in this #tonepoem the emphasis is on the words #fear #anxiety #purpose. 

the episode asks the perennial and eternally classic question: can a culture of control become scared stupid? ... surprisingly, the answer is yes ;-O.

I took an old 1970`s paranormal documentary and grabbed the best parts to make tonepoems and mashups. This one is about Lotte von Strahl. She was the worlds leading psychic at the time and hitler wanted to know her secrets because he was worried some ppl might not like him and would kill him... somehow he knew this but he did not know who they were or when they would strike! 

So he got himmler to haul Lotte Von Strahl in to be questioned. This is her talking about what she thot of the lower functioning paranoid s.a.r.p.  

... hitler is in Hell, he's strapped down with headphones glued on and this is what he hears :D.

... this is a mashup made from the movie soylent green... in this particular piece i focus on the idea that truth consumes us and we have been cannibals since b4 christ and catholicism. (btw the priest is named paul, kinda a nice nod, layers in some nice ambiguity). 

i think the title says it all - Sweet Jesus - the unsavoury truths that we hide inside our own social institutions, like churches.

archetypes on shatterday is a soundscape made from mashing-up an old twilight zone episode with Bruce Willis in the starring role.It is from the 1980's New Twilight Zone tv series, and it was called Shatterday. (like saturnday - samhain?) and deals with the jungian ideas of archetypes, anima / animus, shadow, etc... 

strangely enough, the feminine sounding voice is the voice of Bruce Willis merely moved one step from its original note... so the voice that represents the feminine side of Bruce Wilis's character is Bruce Wilis's. There are know other affects... listening closely to his voice was fascinating, a very soothing voice.

I had an old documentary and converted it into some wav files and then finally found the time to do the part were they interview Dr John Manolesco. 

During world war 2 Dr John Manolesco worked for the British secret intelligence service as thier Head Astrologer in the department of Astrologial Warfare. 

The phrase I focus on is "not the Astrology of Ptolomy." It would seem that Dr John Manolesco's opinion of the head nazi astrologer, one Karl Ernst Krafft, is that his astrological calculations were "not the Astrology of Ptolomy," and that this "new" system that kraftt pushed was relativistic. 

I have had an interest in relativistic philosophy and it`s impact on the post war world (1945-1967), as well as the perpetual war world of post 9-11, and have often thot this little tidbit to be interesting. 

The doc was from the 70`s, and his mention of the use of the new maths, with it`s statistical relativistic o so quantum stance, being pioneered by histlers astrologer, is particularly notable.

Ptolomy Astrology (a nod to astronomy domine, Nostrodamus and quizlingism)

I took an old psychic documentary from the 70`s and mashed-up this short tonepoem. 

This piece is about 2 wizards fighting in WWZ (the zed looks like a two)... One wizard was Dr John Manolesco, he worked for the british intelligence as their head astrologer. His mission was to defeat the astrological insights of hitlers own personal astrologer, one Karl Ernst Krafft. 

An interesting piece given the `attack` was a propaganda blitzkrieg to rival the nazi propoganda of that dog faced admittedly inferior son of a biatch, hitler.

One last note... if you go to wikipedia and google and simply enter the names John Manolesco and then Karl Ernst Krafft, you will not be able to help but note, in our post war world of 21st century schizoid folk, the nazi gets a lot of love; as for the nazi hunter, Mr. Manolesco, not much is said... the impression is a half rate astrologer from a nieve past, not a man who deliberatley and succesfully undermined the efforts of Karl Ernst Krafft.

Astrological Warfare (Nazi Astrology in WWZ)

I did this mashup from an RT news audio file available at https://soundcloud.com/rttv/info-lionel to show the angst in information overload and the constant barrage of media psychobabble, brand and loyalty... who to believe?what is quality of source? et al... 

I think this little mashup fits nicely with similar themes i have done about militant cultures breeding an increasingly paranoid and suspicious psychological type where intell goes all to hell!

#Mashup RtNews - How Do I Know

I love Roald Dahl, and this particular piece came to me while listening to his stories being told on "Tales of the Unexpected." You see, his voice, and his record in the military, and also his fascination with gambling and the gender war; all of it conspired to draw me in to his own peculiar point of view. 

It was then that I decided to do a series of tone poems devoted to the gentle rumblings of this killer, this writer; be careful tho; for it could happen to you you know. And then were would you be?

This is the first, and in it Roald Dahl speaks on his wisdom and simple observations about Writers and Gangsters.

Roald Dahl all Mashed Up - Writers and Gangsters

Roald Dahl All Mashed Up - Georgy Porgy [DL links in Description]

I posted this briefly yesterday and then removed it. A follower msg'd me pointing out it was now gone, tho briefly there, so I decided to put it back up in case there were others wanting to hear it? It is not necessarily done... I decided I want to balance a few things and maybe add a simple drum riff... but as good as it is now here it is: "A new mashup based on Cronebergs movie Video Drome." 

The two words emphasised are "Dangerous" and "Philosophy..." similar to another mashup based on Ray Bradbury where the two words emphasised are "Dangerous" and "Memory" and can be found at https://soundcloud.com/paul-bergeron-3/bradbury-dangerousmemory 

To me "Dangerous Philosophy" opens with the sound of insects eating at each other, like william s burrough style centipedes, or perhaps a lovecraftian style of lower than a reptile person, an insect person, carrying bug powder, and a devolved, inferior philosophy... a reptile brain is lower than a primates; an insects brain is even more primitive than a reptilliod. 

I used a beautiful little pink Alberta rose in the bottom right hand corner... I hope it blooms and stretches out into the brightest light of the deepest night, all warm and glowing with white light and warm heat... Like a living world in a dark void filled with darker nothings. BTW, the Rosy Cross was the Cross of Davinci, Sir Issac Newton, Hegel and Goethe. A much honest cross than St. Pauls, though Pauls crooked cross had mass appeal, and has it again. Davinci knew the world of his day was pure revisionism and apologetics, or as Voltaire clearly says in Miracles and Idolatry: "History is nothing but a bunch of revisionists killing good truth seeking pagans." Others, such as Hegel, went into detail on what psychological type digs up truth and what type crucifies the truths they don't like. Surprisingly little online... only idiots like David Icky (or Icke if you like).

Dangerous Philosophy - Video Drome Mashup

Generally I prefer socialist ideas over conservative and liberal ones, but, at the moment, living in Alberta, Canada, I have some concern that socialism could become a lightning rod for group think and irrational cult like behaviour... all political parties are subject to becoming such a structure, and to be clear, I truly believe there is a lot of good with socialist ideals, but I do have concerns. 

Hope this Tone Poem based on Jim Jones talking to his flock(ed) before they were killed with kool aid in the Jones Town Massacre is a good way to convey the mood of my thot.
