I would watch this TV series or play this game set in a sleepy but unquiet area of the modern-day US West

This is the full album before it was "mixed" for release.  It is raw. It is pure. The poetry of Chris' lyrics are more legible.  The tones are what we were listening to in the studio. The actual release mystified people. It never represented the recording.  It never represented the genius of where Chris could, and did, take the blues and rock paradigms. The album is one of rock's Greatest Misses.  

There are some alternate versions, and a different sequence.  Mostly I am posting this because of the decades of conversation with Whitley fans who don't enjoy the album.  How can you convince someone that "really, it's a milestone and a classic" when the only thing they have heard is a watered down commercial release that has little to do with the actual work that was done?  I hope this spurs conversation about this classic!

Chromarmony/No Accident by syncanonymous was performed/improvised live on June, 4, 1994 before an audience at Cafe This in Santa Rosa, California. No Accident is what syncanonymous was all about, owning all accidents through musical performance. Piki just so happened to have a length of tape already fashioned into a Surrealistic Violin bow before the trio's first gig. This "sample" occurs quite often in syncanonymous music; this is the version I like best.

Recording: Radio Shack/Tandy Realistic PZM mic pair into> Tascam 202 MKII Cassette Deck (I think)>into Sony DTC-690 consumer DAT machine (Pulse convertors). & Digital Transfers (Dec2012) via: DAT(48KHz/16bit) analog output> mbox2 (44/16).

In 2014, this file has had Sonnox De-Buzzer and Peak Limiting applied. The Surrealistic Violin was a pink toy guitar (neck melted) with a tape head mounted as the "pick up". Sections of audio tape were cut and scotch-taped to a the cut off bottom of a plastic coat hanger for the bow handle. Dragging the tape across the tape head created manual sample scrubbing a la Laurie Anderson. The reason I say this here is because guitar pickup-type hum from the tape head created an audible, annoying buzz. Sonnox De-Buzzer was magic at reducing the buzz to acceptable levels.
