HOUSE OF THE DRAGON - Dragonstone´s Theme

This piece is based on an ancient myth of how Greek goddess Athena accidentally killed her sister Pallas during one of their childhood war-games. In mourning, the goddess crafted a wooden statue called Palladium as a memorial to her sister that is said to have protective powers over the city that holds it and later appeared in literature as the artefact that protected Troy for ten years during the Trojan war before it was stolen, resulting in the fall of the city. 
"Pallas" is written in four sections following the myth’s narrative: The game, The fight, The death of Pallas and The birth of the Palladium.

"I have spent the past year researching a lost tradition of my hilltop birthplace called 'Lei Music.' This special genre has the ability to summon strange, squeaking entities from invisible zones. These songs are transcribed to special discs called 'Lei Disks' - and are now hoarded & traded obsessively by modern-day collectors. 


There is no clear explanation of why the performance of Lei Music has such extraordinary effects. Some believe it could be related to a variety of properties unique to Dorset - such as the high concentration of towering granite artefacts, floating pebble circles, and nearby landmarks’ alignments with otherworldly phenomena. The musical instruments that were traditionally played are suspected to have stimulated geoglyphic ley lines - and inadvertently operated as tools that created small rifts between worlds. 


I have been working very hard on a new album of modern laptop-based Lei Music, and have been summoning lots of different clattering, shifting and clicking entities. I am excited to show you them very soon. ⛢꧂"

I'm a Baltimore area pianist and media composer with a BM Music Composition degree from Towson University.  As a media composer, a lot of my music tends to be orchestral, but I often incorporate synths and found sounds into my compositions as well.  My genres tend to range from experimental to more traditional sounding film score type music, but I do like to experiment outside of my comfort zone from time to time.
