Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress) - The Hollies - 1972

Remember the 1960s and 1970s? I remember in 1966 (I was 13) when The Hollies came out with “Bus Stop” and I loved the pop sound. A few years later they had other hits including “Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress)” in 1972, which was a big departure from their earlier musical style but a really great song. It has a very challenging intro and changing timing for its lyrics and rock sound (it was called Swamp Rock!!??). It was a blast to learn and record. Hope you enjoy it.

Il vous invitent à voyager avec les morceaux Step In Balkan (morceau en soutien à la culture des pays des balkans), The Mongolian Step (comme une envie d'évasion dans ces vastes paysages), Norway Dub (morceau produit au retour d'un road trip en Norvège accompagné de son clip), Slavic Dub (morceau dédicacé à tout ses potes polonais, il a été produit spécialement pour cette fameuse date avec Jabbadub au Dub'n'Bass Vol 3).

Ce projet est aussi volontairement conçu pour les Live sur scène ou sound system ! Une tournée de présentation de l'album se déroulera tout au long de l'année.

Pour faire vivre au maximum ce nouveau projet, l'artiste vous prépare aussi des Clips, un Mix Live Youtube, des versions Dub de certains morceaux et plus encore....

SLEEP (THE DANDY WARHOLS)

Quarantined and working on a large bedroom/walk-in-closet renovation for several months, I have been also trying to work on this original song since April. The renovation is mostly finished and so is the song. So I think it's time to kick it out the door and let it be heard.

It might not be for everyone. It's a rock song that is kind of like 12-bar-blues meets Super-Mario. But it is a fun song to play and listen to.  (Even if I say so myself!)

It's called "Sittin on a Dime" and I hope it leaves more of an impression on you than the name implies! (I don't know why I called it that. It just seemed to fit...)

Another of the Doobie Brothers great songs. The intro on this is a variation of the one they use during tours and is different than what's on the record. I shortened it up a bit and used a B3 organ instead of a sax. (I like the B3 better.) I also used a COWBELL in it! (You always need more COWBELL!!) 

This song has been on my list to record for over 3 years, so here it finally is. For your self-quarantine listening pleasure, my rendition of China Grove.
