This set was such a special one to us both, Stone Techno took place near Essen in Germany in a beautiful Unesco site. 
On top of the decors being so breathtaking the energy of the crowd was totally unmatched!

Super excited to welcome Sentient with his powerful debut Blank Aperture, a five-track EP that masterfully blends bass music influences with grey area aesthetics. Through distorted yet juicy textures, razor-sharp rhythms, and deep, driving grooves, Sentient crafts a soundscape that is as dystopian as it is captivating.
The title track ‘Blank Aperture’ opens with gritty halftime grooves and meticulously crafted distortion, building an atmosphere thick with tension. ‘Repeater’ warps perceptions with its polymetric structures and rhythmical shifts, while ‘Void Treader’ explores stark minimalism, each element painstakingly placed. ‘Frayed End’, a collaboration with Kahter, shifts the energy to full-throttle bass music with smacking percussion and earth-shaking basslines.
Closing the release, ‘Spiral Realm’ plunges into abstract ambient territory, with metallic drones, stretched breaks, and heavy bass surges evoking a bleak, dystopian horizon.

About Sentient:

London-based dubstep and experimental bass music producer & DJ, Sentient, has carved himself a niche in bass music with crushing, genre-spanning soundscapes, moving fluidly between various styles of sound. Inspired by horror game soundtracks with heavy, crushing atmospheres, and his love of classical and hardcore music, Sentient’s distinctive sound fuses these influences resulting in a mesmerising blend of gloomy and oppressive sonic landscapes that aim to challenge the norm.
Signed to Bristol-based Foundation Audio (UK) as well as XCPT music (IT), QEONE (DE), Dub Colony (CH), WobWob! (DE), ENDZ (UK), Locus Sound (UK) and LDH Records (UK), and with a monthly radio show on Mode London (UK), Sentient continues to establish himself as a new sound in the underground music scene. His mixes are a journey through the subterranean depths of bass music, showcasing his intricate production skills and fearless experimentation with sound design.
