Ben Rau returns with the second release on his Inkal imprint February 15th, featuring two new original tracks from the German artist.
Berlin’s Ben Rau has become a prominent name in groove-laden house music over the years as resident and artist with London’s inimitable Fuse events and record label, as well as releases on label such as JusGrooveIt and Body Parts. November 2016 saw Ben inaugurate his very own Inkal imprint though, which climbed to the top of the Deejay.de vinyl sales chart hitting number 1 and perfectly setting the tone for the imprint.
This February will see Ben back on form with the second release for the label and opening things up is title track ‘Work Hard’, a smooth slice of driving house fuelled by snaking bass grooves, low- slung bumpy percussion and vacillating vocal swells, whilst chugging acid licks and the introduction of additional vocal lines gradually creep into the composition.
On the flip is ‘Ouisky’, another raw, stripped-back addition employing thunderous sub bass surges, heavily swung percussive shuffles and an amalgamation of bright chord stabs layered into a head nodding, infectious and dynamic sequence throughout.
Ben Rau’s ‘Work Hard’ EP is out on Inkal February 2017.

That Frink is having good success and specially this year is something that anyone following the artist will know with his past releases in Bondage Music reaching the Beatport top 100 in Deep House for over a month and remixing Mihai Popoviciu in same label has make him grow, also his past release Summa into our main label Expmental went into the tops of Deep Tech for over two weeks. With his first gigs in Berlin at Sisyphos or the forthcoming at suicide Circus , playing in many different countries in Europe he is  getting more attention each year also as DJ. So we can add that the Mallorca based artist is in a very good moment right now. Enjoy listening to this two cuts and just let  music talk.

Seth Troxler’s club focussed label, Play It Say It, welcomes a master of stripped back and dubbed out tech grooves in the form of Seb Zito, while Fuse boss Enzo Siragusa steps up to remix. 

A core part of the world-renowned Fuse party crew, Zito's distilled productions are perfectly functional, boasting the sorts of subtle charms that make them truly irresistible to legions of dancers. His warm sound has landed on the Fuse and Infuse labels as well as Rawax and Kaoz Theory. He runs his own Seven Dials label and is as revered for his resident sets in London and Ibiza as he is his studio sounds.

The excellent ‘On It’ opens things up with tightly coiled drums, adorned with bumping kicks that immediately get you moving. A soul infused vocal brings plenty of cool to the track whilst dreamy pads add warmth and depth. A dub is also included in the package for those darker, late night sets. Both versions are sure to become club mainstays. 

Remixing is Enzo Siragusa, the man behind the internationally renowned Fuse brand and a driving force in the contemporary house and techno scene. He DJs around the world, hosts parties across Europe and is known for digging deep. His version is more zoned out thanks to the swirling pads, with the orignal's vocal coming at you in a dreamlike fashion, as the knotted bass hammers home the groove. 

This is an essential release that is sure to go on to big things this summer.
