'Jen a.k.a Flavours is a DJ based in Milton Keynes, England. It all started for her 17 years ago on a pair of 1210" Technics, mixing a variety of Drum and Bass and Hardcore.


She enjoys a variety of Drum and Bass- Jungle, Liquid, Tech, Deep, Dark, Minimal, and Old Skool. She’s inspired by producers and DJ’s such as Alix Perez, Break, Veak, Euphonique, Duoscience, Geostatic, Phat Playaz, Calibre, Payback and going back to her first days of mixing, DJ’s and Producers such as Clipz, DJ Hype, Andy C, Bladerunner, Mickey Finn, Kenny Ken, and Mampi Swift were the reason she fell in love with the genre.


She played at a few parties just before lockdown 2020, and had a set booked for Boomtown 2020 which was unfortunately cancelled. Since the rave scene went on ‘hold’ she was mixing non stop, and was offered a monthly slot on Different Drumz radio. It’s been a deeply emotional journey for her, battling with many challenges along the way; she’s truly found herself in music!


She believes music is something that brings people together, something that everyone has in common and can share globally. She believes it’s a healer like nothing else in the world. With her eclectic mix of different styles of Drum and Bass, she takes you on a journey through the genre, to showcase and spread the good vibes and sounds DnB has to offer. So good to get a day off to record some new mixes, and this one is just what I needed.. fresh new funky, liquid rolling drum and bass... nice grooves.. nothing too heavy but all seriously good.. bass lines, vocals, and some fun samples.. this is the sound of drum and bass for those who want to strut as they walk, or bounce while getting some work done... Liquid Rollers Drum and Bass Mix ( August 2022 )

Really feeling the groove of liquid drum and bass at the moment, particularly the rollers. Translation below for those who don't know. 
Liquid = funky, jazzy, soulful and reggae elements. 
Rollers =  tunes with quality percussion and grooves that just roll and roll. 
Drum and Bass = the coolest form of electronic dance music IMO :)
This is the 2nd part of a mix I posted recently which has proved to be popular. So this mix is more of the same but on a slightly deeper tip.

Ok time to lift the energy again, as I mix some of my favourite sounds in the world of electronic dance music. ... which are the rolling funky percussion, the big wobbly bass lines, and cool samples from many styles which define Underground Drum and Bass Rollers... with an absolute classic tune remixed near the end which anyone who was with me back in the early 90s will love to hear again. Good for a cardio workout or general strut as you walk down the street :) Big love to you all

Time for some more quality drum and bass with a bunch of tunes of slightly different styles but all within the liquid category - so not too hard, funky and rolling.

So we have some reggae style, some junglist influences, some bassline wobblers and some deeper vibes blended together to make a mix which I hope keeps yours ears interested and your feet tapping.

Drum and Bass Deep Liquid & Underground Rollers Mix ( Oct 2022 )

It was a gloomy day in Georgia and I'm pretty sure this played into my selection choices for this session. After a couple of weeks of pretty energetic rolling sets, this one kind of took a more subdued turn. Deep and melodic liquid rollers at the beginning into some mid-energy biz, into some minimal style rollers. Threw in some tech flavored joints for the second hour as well as some grimy bassline rollers and ended with saccharine tech R&B vibes. Not a lot of the usual banter in the chat room today but the number of people who dropped in or were logged and lurking was still solid. Shouts to the new followers as well as my OG LLL gang!

Thank you so much for listening to my mixes.
For over 30 years I have been playing, what I believe is, quality music that is packed with soul, energy, diversity, melody, and a funky groove.

I have an eclectic taste, which is always evolving, but one thing remains, a passion for making people feel great with a customised music selection.

Starting in 1991 I was drawn into the UK rave culture and became an immediate lover of the energy of it's futuristic music. 

Happy hardcore and drum and bass is where it began but I never really loved jungle so moved to uplifting house, trance and hard house in my early 20s. This style had the power and uplifting melodies that I always have loved. 

After a few early gigs in London playing at Sunny Side Up and Ghost, my friend DJ Basil and I established a local monthly party called Ballistic which allowed us to play loud music to our friends until dawn. The night ran for 6 years and was always fun.  I was lucky enough to also play regularly in my home town of Folkestone at The Music Factory, Capel Court, Lydd Watersports and La Parisienne.

I moved to Australia in 2002 with the intention of staying for 12 months...and stayed 10 years!

I played trance for a couple of years but then got bored of that sound and was left wondering what would fill the gap. After spinning drum and bass vinyl in my garage to keep me engaged, I ended up playing house music with my friends and started developing a taste for the different genres including progressive, electro, jackin and then eventually tech and deep house. 

Sydney's clubbing scene created the opportunity for me to become the resident for the unique Shipwrecked and Gorgeous events, Bondi's The Bucket List plus bookings for the legendary High Flyers and Monkey Tennis parties. 

I moved to Bali in 2011 where I ended up being a resident DJ for the world class Karma Beach Club, at Karma Kandara, through to Sept 2012, playing over 100 times on their incredible beach along with 50 other parties for other venues.

Returning to Sydney in 2014 I was the Saturday night resident DJ at Bondi Radio based in the funky Neighbourhood bar in Bondi Beach. I have also been lucky enough to play lots of unique house, rooftop, villa, clifftop, park and boat parties. I love it and am grateful for every chance to play.

Continuing my travels in 2015 created opportunities to play a few times at Goa's best house music event Leopard Valley, and some sets in London, followed by a dozen gigs for Sublime in Guatemala's beautiful Lake Atitlan and a cheeky set in southern Mexico. But every New Years Eve I am blessed to be able to return to Sydney to play major events on the harbour for the biggest fireworks event possible, and this year will be my 8th year in a row. I was travelling in Sri Lanka with big plans for 2020 but like everybody else had to hit pause...but not on the music :) I recorded 200 mixes during the 2 years i stayed in the UK and now have returned to Bali to take up my residency at Karma Beach Club and picking up a new residency at the Twin Fin after party for Single Fin every Sunday in surf mecca Uluwatu. I love it as much as I ever have,, the music is so good, I just cant stop :) So expect new mixes every month covering all of the styles I love.

SoundCloud is a dream as it allows me to share some of the brilliant music being produced around the world by people we will often never know, and who will probably never be rich from it, but through their imagination and technical abilities, create hugely positive energy on dancefloors and in peoples bodies, in countless numbers.
