Paul Levinson, PhD, is Professor of Communication & Media Studies at Fordham University in New York City.  His eight nonfiction books, including The Soft Edge (1997), Digital McLuhan (1999), Realspace (2003), Cellphone (2004), and New New Media (2009)  have been the subject of major articles in the New York Times, Wired, the Christian Science Monitor, and have been translated into fifteen languages.  His science fiction novels include The Silk Code (1999, winner of the Locus Award for Best First Novel), Borrowed Tides (2001), The Consciousness Plague (2002), The Pixel Eye (2003), The Plot To Save Socrates (2006), Unburning Alexandria (2013), and Chronica (2014).  His novels and short stories have been nominated for Nebula, Hugo, Edgar, Sidewise, Prometheus, Audie, and Sturgeon Awards.  His award-nominated novelette, “The Chronology Protection Case,” was made into a short film and is on Amazon Prime Video. His alternate history story about The Beatles, "It's Real Life," was made into a radio play, and was a finalist for the Sidewise Award for Alternate History. Paul Levinson has appeared on "The CBS Evening News,"  CNN, "NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" (PBS),  "Nightline" (ABC),  and numerous national and international TV and radio programs.  His 1972 LP, Twice Upon a Rhyme, was re-issued on mini-CD by Big Pink Records in 2009, and was re-issued in a vinyl remastered re-pressing by Sound of Salvation/Whiplash Records in 2010.  "Welcome Up: Songs of Space and Time," was released by Old Bear Records and Light in the Attic Records in 2020.  Levinson reviews the best of television in his InfiniteRegress.tv blog.
