Pour cette première de La Playlist Invisible, Paul Lucas propose d’explorer la part mentale et musicale de Rebecca Manzoni : journaliste et productrice, elle anime Le Masque et la Plume et Totemic sur France Inter.

Pour CRAVAN, Rebecca Manzoni a accepté de créer une playlist de 24 titres, autant de morceaux qui « racontent ce que nous sommes ». Car des chansons, la journaliste en a décortiqué plus d’un millier pendant dix ans dans ses chroniques musicales pour la Matinale et l’émission Pop N’Co sur France Inter. De son enfance lorraine à la Maison ronde, Rebecca Manzoni nous racontera son obsession pour les rockeuses à talons, les Italiens à paillettes et les Français à moustache, et avec quel bâton de sourcier elle puise son inspiration.

Veronique Sanson is one of the most famous french pop oriented female singer, songwriter, and composer of the 80s. She began her career in the 70’s, and was the girlfriend of genius composer Michel Berger. Her world was turnt upside down when she met Stephen Stills of Crossby Stills & Nash. One day during a recording session in Paris, she left the studio pretending to go buy cigarets, but never came back... She flew overnight to the USA, where she married Stephen Stills. In LA, she records new music with superstar composers such as Ray Parker JR & Harvey Mason. "Bernard's Song", produced in 1977
, was the first single of the double gold album « Hollywood ». 

In this reworked version, Pulse selected and edited the best parts of the song, removing Sanson's verses in order to keep only the heavy grooves. New drums have been added to the mix, which bring a fatter sound to the whole thing.
Pulse added wild funk synths, involving keyboard extraordinaire Corentin Pujol of parisian funk band Echoes Of. He recorded killer solos through the tune, "Dukey Stick" style !
Of course, the rework comes fully DJ friendly with intro and outro.
All of these intentions make this version truly unique, and still respectful of the original vibe... the Young Pulse guarantee.
A must have in your collection of heavy low tempo 'french' disco.
