VST Piano and Synth guitar. Don't remember how I recorded this or which specific plugins I chose for the piano and the guitar synth, but it was recorded pretty hot. I think the guitar track was recorded using the Line 6 Pod HD Pro.

Was messing about on my Korg M1 today and found a patch that finally inspired me to let the creative juices flow. Layered that patch on one track and overdubbed a piano part using a custom Kontakt 5 piano patch on my Muse Receptor. Practicing my mixdown and mastering in Cakewalk, too, using Abbey Road Chambers, and a few other plugins.

Originally composed on my Roland D-10 synth and the Prism DOS-based computer sequencer back in my early college days (probably 1993 or 1994), this track explores the possibility of using more than one time signature at the same time. I recently rediscovered the lost MIDI files and am trying to remember the exact instrumentation for this piece. Here's an initial recovery attempt using the basic built-in instruments within Cakewalk.

Listen to each instrument in the track to see if you can find its time signature, especially as the organized chaos unfolds and then re-converges into rigidity.

Tuesday Morning August Zen

Noodling and futzing around with my Godin guitar synth, Roland VG-8 plugged through my Eventide H9 Max into the Muse Receptor with Guitar Rig 5 processed through SPDIF and recorded into Cakewalk.
