Karma

When I stumbled the Earth crumbled as I tumbled
Then I’m swept away.
I start spinning water pinning you were sprinting
To be there by my side, 
Teeth clinched in my jaw
No breath left to draw 
cuz’ I’ve got liquid in my lungs

As I went down I heard no sound, I felt the ground.
Ripping away my skin.
I felt your hand reaching out from land as you ran
There’s nothing you could do
I scratched and clawed,
My hands were worn raw

Angel

I wrote this piece on an old acoustic guitar. While I was writing it my bird Luna used to sit on the head stock of my guitar and listen.  After I wrote it, every time I played it she always stopped what she was doing to listen.  I hope she's flying in heaven.
