Amsterdam based House head Nachtbraker has released music on Detroit Swindle's Heist Recordings, Apparel Music and Dirt Crew Recordings. He goes straight to floor with his remix of "Feels Good 2 Me" launching in with crunchy messed up beats, warm pads and dubbed out vocals for an epic remix that combines old and new styles.

DJ Aakmael is a producer we’ve been loving for many years and we’re proud to be presenting you with his Freerange debut. The US artist has had consistent releases dating back to 2004 and has graced the discographies
of many a fine label including Uzuri, Earthrumental, Kolour Ltd, his own
UnXpozd Entertainment and most recently the hotly tipped UK label Church.
Here on his Daydreeming EP we’re treated to four original tracks of real
house music produced by a true original of the underground.

Kicking off we have Daydreeming with muscular beats laying the foundation
for some widescreen orchestral strings and off-kilter and subtly deranged
torchsong vocals. Rimbaudian steps up for the remix following what for us,
is one of the tracks of 2016; Werka 8 from his Meda Fury release. The
Swedish producer brings a very fresh approach with a loopy and hypnotic
techno edge which draws you in with it’s repeating vocal and trippy
sinewave melodies.

Flipping over we have Basement 2 which drops the tempo slightly for a more
heads down Detroit-inspired jam. A simple three note synth repeats
throughout while moody pads bring the deep heat resulting in a track that
you could get lost in for days. Beacot Road closes the EP in fine style
with introspective filtered piano chords providing the magic on this
simple, stripped back track, the whole thing sounding somehow blunted like
it’s being beamed through a thick haze of ganja smoke. Enjoy, and please

Lee Foss has long been recognized as an artist of many talents. A steadfast visionary with his hands in all aspects of creative production, Lee's power has always stemmed from his connection not only to the energy of the human experience but also from the way that it is expressed through the conception and performance of electronic music. After many years of involvement in the musical community through his labels Emerald City and Hot Creations, his collaborative projects Hot Natured and Pleasure State, and his extensive DJ career, Lee is finally releasing his first full length solo album Alchemy, out now.

Alchemy comes at a time of inspiration and focus for Lee, after taking a hiatus from solo production for a couple of years. With work beginning in October 2015, Alchemy has been a long time coming for Lee, and is a cohesive body of work brimming with intent. Leaning heavily on analog synths and vintage drum machines with some occasional guitar and live bass, the album features guest appearances from frequent collaborators Anabel Englund and Infinity Ink, along with others.

About the album, Lee says, "I titled the album Alchemy because I've long been fascinated by the scientific and spiritual dichotomy it represented, sort of as the crossroads of modern science and ancient spirituality and its ethos of distilling perfection in the physical and spiritual realm. It's dismissed as pseudoscience now but most of modern chemistry and the scientific method stems from it, and I'm interested in a world that better combines the spiritual realm with the scientific and western medicine we worship today. I feel like making music is the modern alchemy as we search for that perfect series of tones to reach our magnum opus."

In recent history, Lee has gained recognition through the heralded Hot Natured album Different Sides of the Sun, their scintillating live performance at Coachella, and his eminent collaboration with MK and Anabel Englund "Electricity."

Latest in line to lend their expertise to El Diablo’s Social Club’s evergreen edit arm are Italian Stallions DJ Rocca and N2B, who the hot jocks and disco dancers may remember from To Rack & Ruin Vol. 6. The sleeve may have changed but the menu stays the same; nothing but prime cuts and seasoned sides to savour under flashing lights and starry skies. Taking the controls in tandem, Rocca and Nic cast the net wide and dig deep to serve up four courses of dub disco and proto-house delight.
Bursting out of the speakers in an explosion of frenzied percussion, ‘Inergy’ makes a main room statement right from the get go, drawing anyone with a pulse into the speaker sweet spot for the best six and a half minutes of their life. Throwing shapes between the looser end of the disco spectrum and the earliest hints of house, DJ Rocca & N2B cycle through funk guitars and dubby horns before flipping the script with a bubbling bass synth right out of the Prelude playbook. Our favourite fratelli drop the pace to a steady stepping midtempo on A2’s ‘Mister Cheryl’, retaining the dub aesthetic and working the loops for a hyper- charged and heavily treated reshape of a Brazilian funk classic. Precise machine beats keep future time while the beachside brass and feel good vocal emerge from the mainframe with a bionic boost.
As we skip to the flipside the party keeps pounding, picking up momentum with the sustained strings, infectious guitar licks and spacious synths of ‘Music For Your Lose’. After a high octane and hypnotic intro, the track breaks into sax heavy disco euphoria, walking its bassline into the heart of the dancefloor and leading the club in a sweet and soulful sing-a-long. There’s no stopping the rocking as we reach B2 cut ‘Powa’, a robotised rerub of a Paradise Garage style space jam with all manner of echo-drenched mayhem included. Boasting plenty of junk in the trunk, this bass driven bad boy fuses gospel vocals, afro synths and mechanised rhythms into the funkiest freakout this side of Scientology - so keep your eyes on your thetan meters and your feet firmly on the dancefloor - it’s another killer from the mighty To Rack & Ruin.

Cacao celebrates one busy year of releases with the first edition of "There's always Cacao in Exotic Places“. The compilation features a various string of releases signed by a handful of the artists that have brought their mark to the label so far.

The opening track "On Da Point“ by Gonzo-Gonzo spells melodic from the get go. With low sung garage-like vocals and a melancholic, torrid summer ambiance, it mesmerises and has a surprisingly tender effect.

House master Rick Wade proves his dexterity in crafting smooth house grooves on "Latina“, a highly sensuous track with clear South American influences.

Moon Harbour and Get Physical alums Luna City Express lay down a penchant and deep arrangement in "Classic Dance part 2“, uncovering their trademark subdued-yet-powerful aesthetic.

Cacao label bosses K.E.E.N.E. join tech house chief Robosonic into a distant journey on "Waters“, another deep exploration with liquid elements. Stripped of vocals, the instrumentation comprising of chords, a heavy hitting bassline and sinuous melody spells pure enjoyment.

Dub Tech producer Tigerskin’s offering, entitled "January, June, July“ not only brings together the only months in a year beginning with a J, but some deep and dubby atmospheres into the mix. The track stands on the solemn sides, bringing together cavernous spaces with eerie sounds and grave synths.

Zombies In Miami offer a pounding techno finish to the EP with "Cabalah“. Centered around a dubby bassline and tribal percussions, it’s a playful set up that evokes tribal atmospherics.
