What kind of experiment was it? I forcibly inserted another element in the middle of the DJ sound. I mainly use collage as my production method, so the atmosphere of this song is what I imagined. But it destroyed the uplifting dance mood that gets you on the rhythm. Some of the necessary elements of the music are missing, but it will be a relief for your ears.

By the Flame

I wrote "Lonely as Me" in very late December 2015. I was actually trying to write a Christmas song, but the universe decided to give me two other songs instead (the other one is "Dead and Buried").

Amazingly, both songs came to me virtually complete, with chord progression, melody and almost the entire lyric for both. It's very rare when the universe gives you a complete song that requires very minimal additional work, so to be given two was a very special gift indeed.

"Lonely as Me" is a very personal song; it's definitely one of my most favorite songs that I've ever written.

I've never tried to record it, although I have performed it onstage in front of an audience several times, but when I decided I wanted to record and release my first album of original music, "Lonely as Me" was one of those songs that MUST be on this first album. 

As-is, it still needs more work (probably a little bit more guitar), then I will need to sing the song, but this is how things are with this most personally-beloved of songs.
