A true pioneer of the European techno underground, Max Durante began his DJ career in Rome in 1987 and quickly became a key figure in shaping Italy’s early industrial techno scene alongside D’Arcangelo. His deep influence on the 1990s techno movement helped define the country’s raw, experimental sound. Today, Max is a resident at Berlin’s legendary Tresor club and was also the first resident DJ at HÖR Berlin. Known for his precision, intensity, and flawless turntablism, he continues to inspire with performances that radiate pure energy and authenticity.

This mix was created using three CDJs and a drum machine, forming a sonic mosaic that reimagines iconic tracks from artists such as Aphex Twin and Mescaline United. Max blends these with his own new and unreleased material, looping and reshaping sounds to explore the future of techno and electro. Refusing to follow trends, he stays loyal to his sound — industrial, uncompromising, and rooted in freedom.
