Ah hell, all caution to wind, here I go:  I came into being a lifelong "club music" lover way back in the gap (circa 1988).  Back then, at least in the awesome nightclub and then after-hours clubbin life carved by south Louisiana's Kingfish Nightclub, Ampersand, The Lighthouse, The Attic, Denham & Diamonds, Mako's on The Strip, The Keg, etc, all the rave was Midnight Star, etc as the "scene" transitioned from disco nights to club nights and the after-party sunrises.  Ecstacy was at the wee early days of its common club use explosion just after being made "illegal" by the Feds.  Very strong LSD blotter and microdot acid came up like geysers at about that same time frame..... and also....the oh so freaking yummy "Sweet Tarts" (the kind you will never be able to buy at any store in the U.S.) and for the adventurers.... "pink elephants" too.  Then came along the ever-always known by those who know and also others who came after who to this day keep alive the legend of:  "gold double domes" and the almighty "Chocolate Chips."  Then, the very flavorful "tulips" and of course the "pink mitsubishi" sometimes as double-stacks and even triple-stacks; as well as, the "green clovers" also.  Those were the really fun clubbin dayz where if someone told you that you were an "ugly mother fucker" or that you had "them uglies," you would have been very pleased and somehow oddly proud too.  Honestly, some of the very best days of my life when I made numerous friends for life, got to experience "EDM" literally as it became EDM, and times when for the most part nobody fucked anybody over or got violent over stupid child-level bullshit drama.  Note:  it is oh, so very NOT that atmosphere these days.  Really, that is a damn shame, but I digress.

My music tastes these days has evolved naturally, yet I am still within the same sphere of music that I listened to back then:  progressive trance, Florida breaks, "Flavored Breaks" (my fav cause that is Louisiana's Best DJs spinning Florida Breaks along with "`dat Cajun flavor and fervor" and serve it up as that special sauce piquant known as Flavored Breaks), most of the Electro variant also, some House, some Drum & Bass (but oddly I cant stand very similar Jungle), a tiny bit of Happy Hardcore, and not much else EDM-wise.
