I was testing out a homemade geophone by placing it in a weighted stand next to a running fan.

I needed some falling concrete noise for an animated short I was making. The only thing I had around to record were small landscape stoned no bigger than a golf ball. I used a single Pluggy EM172 mic from MicBooster and recoded the stones being dropped onto the sidewalk alongside the mic. The recorded was the Zoom F6. In post, I dropped the sound a bit more than an octave and added a touch of reverb.

The first sounds from my homemade mic for listening to electromagnetic frequencies. ^_^ Holding the mic up to various electric appliances in my home into a Sound Devices MixPre3 II.
