krass, ich muss mir mal in ruhe die Zeit nehmen und alle deine Kompositionen durchhören, Wahnsinnssound hier <3 Wie konnte ich das nur 5 Monate unentdeckt lassen, muss wohl damit zusammenhängen das ich die liebe zu deepen Sound erst seit einem wenigen Monaten gefunden habe :)

Thyladomid is preparing to press out his debut LP, Interstellar Destiny, which sees him taking a brave departure from music that’s restricted to the insides of clubs. Following in suit with the overall musing appeal of the 16-track collection, “Polarlight” is a pensively melancholic piece that plays on the human condition. Short and exponentially sweet, the tune clocks in at less than three minutes of somber melody lines, purposeful percussion and cinematic textures. Thyladomid does a stand-up job at displacing dance music by examining cogitative spaces.

Seit 2008 veröffentlicht der Mitbegründer des Kölner Musik Labels Ki kontinuierlich elektronische Musik. Dass er gerne zu künstlerischen Kollaborationen bereit ist, stellte er zuletzt 2011 auf der Ki-Spilt No.2 Baltic Sea gemeinsam mit Steffen Kirchhoff unter Beweis. Dort tauchten zum ersten Mal Vocals in Löfflers musikalischem Schaffen auf. Einmal auf den Geschmack gekommen, hat Löffler sich bei A Forest für gleich drei Tracks stimmliche Unterstützung geholt: Die gebürtige Dänin Gry Noehr Bagøien begleitet ihn bei Feelharmonia mit endlos gelooptem, gepitchtem sphärischem Summen, aus dem sich erst allmählich ganz artikulierte Wörter formen. Mohna, Frontfrau der Hamburger Band Me Succeeds unterstützt Christian Löffler bei Eleven. Auch Poet Marcus Roloff hat am Album mitgewirkt, seine mal implizit, mal explizit bedrohlich düsteren Texte fügen sich perfekt in die Löfflersche Klangwelt ein.

Für die dreimonatige Arbeit an seiner ersten LP, zog sich Christian Löffler in ein kleines Haus einer ehemaligen Gartenkolonie bei Usedom zurück. Dort gab es nur einen Raum, ein Fenster und einen Ausblick: Wald. Bei seinen Touren durch die karge Nachbarschaft hin zum Meer sammelte er die Geräusche ein, die ihn umgaben: Blätterknistern, Brandungsrauschen – mal beruhigend, mal bedrohlich, so wie Natur eben ist. Hohlige Holzsounds ziehen sich als mal leises, mal lauteres Geklöppel durch viele Tracks der Platte.
