Grammy Award nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry has been engulfed in dance music since he first started listening to European dance music records while growing up in Brooklyn. More than any other producer, Todd Terry defined New York house during the '80s, his sound is a varied sampladelic collection, blending the sounds of classic disco, the more introspective Chicago sound plus plenty of hip-hop attitude. 
Much of Terry's early work, in the late 1980s, is considered a milestone in the development of both progressive and modern deep house, and with two of the most respected crossover remixes of the house era ("I'll House You" by the Jungle Brothers and "Missing" by Everything but the Girl), Terry more than earned his title "Todd the God" . Terry’s success has followed him through the years and today Todd is one of the world’s most celebrated figures in dance music. With almost Three decades of dance floor domination under Todd’s belt the quality of his productions goes from strength to strength
Terry produced the mix for Gangstercast 67 earlier this summer , he believes it to be one of his best old school/new school productions.  He’s picked  the tracks that he always play out in my live sets as they represent  the best type of  dance floor records, whether they’re are old or new. Terry likes to play as he puts it; ‘the best of both worlds’ meaning to play songs as well as hard tracks.
With Terry the House Gangster movement is all about the music , the raw swingy beats and good funky music.

Russell Peters' Almost Famous Mix by DJ Spinbad

The tribute to DJ Spinbad continues with perhaps his most famous work. It's reportedly the most bootlegged mix of all time, so thought I might as well hop on board :D 

Spinbad's 1995 mixtape Rock The Casbah is frequently cited as THE defining moment in modern megamix/mash up culture, and with good reason. Featuring JS-One and A.Vee, according to the man himself this tribute to 80s pop was assembled on a 3-track (... a 4-track with a broken channel), and is simply put a technically brilliant, phenomenally imaginative and daring piece of mixtape history. To quote DJ Yoda's recent tribute, "Spinbad is one of the main reasons that I am a DJ. [He] was the first hip-hop mixtape DJ to leave the comfort zone of rap music. He showed me that music isn't something you need to be embarrassed about". 

To the mix then. I've only ever had a shortened version, but digging around there are a few variants commonly available, so this is a composite of the best quality remastered version I could find - blip-free, balanced and with the missing end stitched back in. I may revisit once I get a higher quality version of the post-Maneater section, but for now this will do just fine.

Rusty C is a dj from Prestwick in Scotland and has been djing for 4 years now. His love for electronic dance music ranges in every genre as he is open to all types of music, but his feel for techno, electro and house music is what he loves grooving to most as this is what he listens to most everyday feeling the beat.
In the time Rusty C has been djing he has been able to have had access in playing some of Scotland's top nightclubs which he loved doing and tasting the buzz of what djing has to offer playing to a pumped up crowd.
He is now turning his vision of sound into music production and hoping to have tracks ready for release this year and see how his vision of sound takes to the dance floor.
