Premiere: Matan Tamal - Show U How (Ft. Sapir Silberman)

Returning from a short hiatus, Deersky’s Soundteller Records welcomes Radieux back to the label for a new single. With well over a decade’s worth of DJ experience, Slovenian born artist Radieux has been a fixture at some of the world’s premiere clubs and festivals, sharing the stage with John Digweed, Nick Warren, Solomun and more. Upon creating the Radieux alias in 2019, Artessa Music and Chrom Recordings served as initial landing spots for his melodic club-friendly sound. Fast forward to 2023 and the first six months of year have proved to be the most prolific of Radieux’s career, notching projects for Beat Boutique, Eat My Hat and Soundteller, the latter of which served as a home for his March offering ‘Here Comes The Storm’. Now, making a welcome return to the label, Radieux unveils his latest studio creation ‘Waterfalls and Us’, alongside remixes from Gai Barone and Kamilo Sanclemente & Mauro Aguirre.

Continuing to showcase his great dancefloor sensibilities, Radieux’s ‘Waterfalls and Us’ finds that perfect balance between groove and melody. A muscular low end serves as the foundation for bright percussive arrangements, evolving arps and a gorgeous piano-like lead which serves as a transition into the main break. Coming to full emotional fruition as the centrepiece evolves, melodies converge and textures emerge, perfectly setting up a flurry of drums and smooth key changing finale.

The remixes delivery nicely as well with one of the progressive scenes leading lights Gai Barone turning in another hugely memorable production. The Italian artist leaves something to the imagination here, opting for a dreamier approach which makes great use of texture and colour to create an evolving atmospheric storyboard atop punchy beats and buoyant percussive arrangements. Definitely one for the clued up progressive floors out there.

Rounding out the release with the final remix is Kamilo Sanclemente & Mauro Aguirre who continue to collaboration with great success. The Colombian duo aim squarely at a peak-hour dance floor with full grooves, rolling rhythms and a haunting harmonic topline which marries well with the electric lines below. Looking to keep energy high throughout, the main break is concise, serving to build tension quickly, before a final assault of supersonic synths caps off this epic offering from Soundteller in fine style. Highly recommended.

Juicebox Music's 79th release welcomes Agustín Ficarra to the fold as he makes his debut with a 3-track EP, featuring "Revival", "Levitar" & "Conventional Habit". The Buenos Aires (Argentina) based artist made his production debut in 2020 and has since scaled his associations & quality, from releases on D-Nox's 'Sprout', Mango's 'Mango Alley' to Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden' and Hernan Cattaneo & Graziano Raffa's 'Sudbeat'. Agustín continued making waves, especially around his country, through his comprehensive & genre-breaking DJ sets, whether it's on his own or alongside fellow peers from the 'Who Knows' crew.

To showcase a portion of his range, Agustín's curated & put together 3 tracks that express certain musical directions, whether it's the hard-hitting techno-influenced monster in "Revival" or the organic-infused emotionally charged groover in "Levitar" or the technically unconventional (excuse the pun) songwriting in "Conventional Habit". Madloch's Sound Avenue opens the new year by welcoming NorB to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Hungary, Norbi Szakács aka NorB grew up listening to trance, before discovering progressive and melodic house, where his primary focus sits today. Although early into his journey as a producer, NorB already lays claim to an enviable discography. In collaboration with Canadian producer and vocalist juSt b, NorB first emerged in 2022 with ‘Different Places', a two-track showcase via John Digweed's Bedrock Records. Immediately noted for his timeless approach, the track would go on to feature on John's ‘Live in London' and ‘Quattro III' collections, while the b-side ‘Close Your Eyes', featured on the label's year end retrospective. Balance Music would then serve as home for the duo's lone 2023 production ‘At This Moment', a track which Henry Saiz would remodel for his ‘Balance 032' collection. Moving forward, 2024 would find NorB continuing his creative partnership with juSt b, with the duo signing productions to ICONYC, Stellar Fountain and Stripped Digital, the latter of which rounded out the year in impressive fashion across three well-received tracks. Now, as 2025 begins to take shape, NorB adds Sound Avenue to his resume with a track-track solo showcase ‘Dharma', alongside remixes from Andres Moris, Haen, and Drekaan.

Joining the Meanwhile Horizons roster with a standout 3-track EP, HAFT make their Meanwhile Horizons debut with “Flow / Momentum / Rosewood”.

Inspired by “percussion, deep-rooted and hypnotising synths”, HAFT’s aim is to “put all these elements together to create a unique sound utilising various organic melodies.” Through their innovative production work, the US-based duo have hit the underground dance music headlines since late 2017 with a series of stellar Organic and Progressive House releases – sprinkled with a dusting of Electronica – on such esteemed imprints as Do Not Sit On The Furniture, Pipe & Pochet and Armen Miran’s Hoomidaas.

Making an appearance on GMJ & Matter’s flagship label with “Life in Motion” on the “Meanwhile Excursions, Vol. 4” compilation in September 2024, HAFT now take their Meanwhile Horizons bow. Opening proceedings, “Flow” builds on the percussive flow and bassline energy so pivotal to the duo’s sound. Replete with fizzing hats, whip-cracking kick and rolling groove, an array of effects and sounds add to the aural intrigue before smooth pads and filtered arpeggio create layers of melodic majesty. Coming to the fore at a stripped-back breakdown in a club-friendly pause for breath, the track picks up the pace in the second half as the rhythmic and melodic collage combine to devastating effect.

The aptly titled, “Momentum” creates an exquisite music odyssey as a gradually evolving rhythmic landscape adds layer upon layer of sound creating a rich sonic playground by its denouement. Ticking hats and rolling bass pattern then vie for attention with thickly textured pads and plucked melodies that filter in and out of sonic range. Waxing and waning through its different phases, the track finds a stereo-panned motif taking centre stage in the final act to create a work of stunning dancefloor prowess.

The final track sees the mellifluous tones of “Rosewood” quickly creating a subtle melancholic atmosphere. A subterranean bass adds heft and gravitas as an immaculately syncopated synth phrase creates groove aplenty in the second movement. Rippling arps and counterpoint pads add to the aural depth, as does a perfectly placed vocal motif at the breakdown. Hitting club-friendly heights once more in the latter stages, HAFT’s production skills are on full display as “Rosewood” reaches a smooth and blissful conclusion.

Characterising a unique and powerful sound that transcends the progressive house genre, HAFT have shown why they are such respected figures with their “Flow / Momentum / Rosewood” EP.
