A song about the habit of fading personalities to continually reinvent themselves. Don't worry about their fans, they'll never notice. 

I guess bitter-sweet might describe the mood.

This is a remix of the track by Waaktaar, an artist that has inspired my sound for decades.
Changes include: abridged intro, verse1: synth and piano, bridge1: pad, chorus: sha-la and piano plus repeated line, shorten interlude, v2: echo, bridge pad and countdown and bvox, chorus2: sha-la and piano, Instrumental: new box, breakdown: abridged and repeats added, ending: abridged with overlaps, sha-la, piano and synth.
Drums are filtered with high end compressed, distorted and mixed back in to add sparkle.

Based on a FaceBook status that I posted after a trip to Boulder, Colorado. Inspired by the Muse version of Feeling Good this track sounds hopeful while covering the complete abandonment of dreams.

A Blameless Life

Going back to the archives here. This track was written and recorded back in 1998 while living in Brighton, England. I recently stumbled upon an old recording of it and decided I should address a few mix problems. Of course, working from just the master left me with only a few options, but I think this is pretty good now. I've left some dynamic range rather than compress the a$$ off it, so - crank it up and enjoy my attempt at rebuilding Rome within your eyes. Note that this is pre-autotune and other magic, so what you hear is what I sang. You have been warned. :-)

Fractious

My fan cover of the A-ha track Manhattan Skyline. This is based on their 12" recording of the song which happens to be my favorite version as it has a lot more edge than the single. This track took me about a year and a half to complete it as it pushed the limits of my abilities on a number of things (singing, guitar and arrangements) and so I had to learn new tricks and work on those areas to complete the track. I hope people like this version. Original music by Magne Furuholmen & Pal Waaktaar. All instruments performed and produced by me.

I've been doing music for more years than I haven't, but since moving to the USA I haven't found any regular musicians to play with, so I've been mainly working alone.
