Here is a my new track 'Battle Mode' now available as a free download. This track is a kind of techy trancey, electroey based track that I made so that I could experiment with a different sound. Some of the style is inspired by my love of old video game music that could be quite eccentric and manic, particularly in old beat em ups. It was also partly inspired by my love of some of the older fast paced and bass heavy techno tracks like DK8's 'Murder Was The Bass'.  I hope you enjoy it.

Obie Fernandez EP

The ridiculously talented and diverse, Obie Fernandez is 'Back Again' and it's far from his 'Final Destination'!

This 2 track Ep is a clinic in Old Skool infused Tech-Trance with loads of energy and groove. Enlisting a truly international pair of remixers; England's Duchess of Drums, Laura May, and the Argentinian madman, Blashear, making his HQ debut.

'Back Again' is a haunting and driving slab of tech with hooverish stabs and a drop that drips with groove and clever vocal production. Blashear's treatment is nothing short of sinister. Pads and tension are everywhere! Making the vocal samples his one adding his own unique and menacing twists.

Not for the faint of heart.

'Final Destination' doubles down on the funky stabs and old skool feel with a (dare we say it?) Hard House vibe! The build ratchets ever higher and drops the kitchen sink on the dance floor!

One of our most loved producers here at HQ, the Queen of Tech, Laura May never disappoints. Laura's interpretation doesn't shy away from the HH vibe but embraces it, douses it in bass, busy hats, and cheeky stabs for a master class in bassy groove and cheeky stabs.

Paul was first introduced to trance music during the UK trance scene's explosion in the early 2000's and fell immediately in love with the genre. Having been inspired by the production and DJ sets of Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and Dumonde; Paul purchased his first set of turntables.

After years of working in the studio, Paul is now opening himself up to the scene, in both production and DJing. His tracks have received support from greats like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas and M.I.K.E. among others.

Now in 2016 Paul is starting the new show 'Adventurous Spirits' on Discover Trance Radio, playing a mix of the best new Trance productions and some of his own current favourites.
