'Angels' Share' is the second release from Paul Gilbody’s eagerly anticipated debut album, 'Untwined'. It's a winter’s tale of a stricken Scottish fishing boat that culminates in a rousing, whisky-fuelled toast to friendship.
Driven by Gilbody’s rolling acoustic guitar and the accordion of Steven Christie (The Proclaimers), this heart-warming, contemporary sea-shanty includes guest vocals from Adam Holmes and production by revered producer John Wood (Nick Drake, John Martyn). 'Angels' Share' was mastered by Simon Heyworth, co-producer of Mike Oldfield's 'Tubular Bells'.

'Boomerang' is the first single taken from Paul Gilbody’s long awaited debut album 'Untwined'. It is a timely, feel-good reflection on the need to share more love in the world.
Partly inspired by the 90’s 'Bristol Sound', it confidently merges the sparse simplicity and warm textures of trip-hop, with Gilbody’s distinctive ‘acoustic groove’ songwriting dynamic. ‘Boomerang’ was released on Friday Oct 9th, 2020.

A gifted singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and highly sought after session player, Gilbody has recorded and featured on numerous albums and performed around the world, including European tours with KT Tunstall and opening for the legendary Tom Jones. 

Paul’s solo career has also seen him perform globally, including regular appearances at Folk Alliance International and the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival to 5 star reviews. His debut EP ‘Eponymoose’ quickly sold out at live shows, and the follow-up ‘Ricochet’ garnered airplay on BBC Radio Scotland.  2020’s ‘Boomerang’ was the first of a series of planned singles that lead to the eagerly anticipated 2021 release of his debut album ‘Untwined’ which is produced by the legendary John Wood (Nick Drake, John Martin, Pink Floyd). 
It was Paul’s authentic talent that encouraged Wood to produce the album, reminiscent of the artists he’d worked with through the years. Recorded live in Glasgow’s prestigious Gorbals Sound studio, with an outstanding 7 piece band and string quintet, ‘Untwined’ is a heartfelt call to life and never giving up on your dreams.
