This week's show was hosted by our good friends and co-host Discoholic Ken. A man with a serious passion for music, he always spins catchy grooves and juicy basslines, and creates the irresistible urge to dance like nobody’s watching. His mix includes 5 tracks from his awesome Discoholics Anonymous label. 

For the second hour we were delighted to welcome French DJ and producer Ludovic Llorca, aka ART OF TONES. Known for his rich, soulful sound and impeccable production craft, he has built a strong reputation through a steady stream of releases on respected labels such as Toy Tonics, Z Records, Big Love, Soulfuric and more. His tracks are staples in DJ sets worldwide, and we have played many of his tracks on our show. Combining groove-heavy basslines, warm chords, and razor-sharp percussion, his tracks are always a winner! It was a pleasure and an honour to have him on our show.

I was back on the decks this week after a short break, and was eager to unleash some funk, soul and disco on the digital airwaves. I was delighted to include my latest track, "Respect Yourself", a  funky twist on the original Staples Sisters song. It will be out on the Discoholics Anonymous label soon. The show started slow and groovy at 108 BPMm but I managed to build up the tempo enough to include the new track from my friend Neil Willis called Move It, available now on the excellent Boogie Brunch Records label.

My guest for the second hour was Bessie Woo, whose mixes I have been following for a while now. Her style blends disco, nu-disco, soul, and house music, influenced by her passion for dance and discovering new sounds. Bessie hosts a monthly radio show, "The House of Woo," on Data Transmission, reaching audiences worldwide. She has performed at various events and venues across London and Manchester, including the International Women's Day event in Manchester last year. Her guest mix was superb, full and sunshine, joy and dancefloor energy.

Paul started DJ'ing in the early nineties and went on to become a regular playing bars, clubs and underground house parties around London and the South East. In 2010 after a long period in 'DJ retirement', Paul re-discovered his love for dance music with a particular focus on the emerging edits and disco scene.

He's a resident DJ for Shade Disco and has been on warm-up (and closing) duties for The Shapeshifters, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Dr Packer, Michael Gray, Melvo Baptiste, Fingerman, Babert, Hifi Sean and Vaudafunk to name a few.

Together with close friend and disco legend Evil Smarty, Paul launched Project Bango - a monthly night of upfront disco and house which has brought a vibrant new party buzz to Guildford's underground club scene.
