Lakeshore Records release of the soundtrack album for Gavin Hood’s dramatic thriller "Eye in the Sky". The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Hepker and Mark Kilian who previously co-scored the director’s Oscar-winning Tsotsi and Rendition. 

 Eye in the Sky stars Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul, Alan Rickman, Barkhad Abdi, Jeremy Northam, Iain Glen and Phoebe Fox. The movie follows a London-based military intelligence officer who is remotely commanding a top secret drone operation that aims to capture a group of terrorists in Nairobi. 

The thriller premiered at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival .

Eye In The Sky (Original Score)

Full promotional score from "Tsotsi" - winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2006. Directed by Gavin Hood, music composed by Mark Kilian and Paul Hepker, featuring the voice of Vusi Mahlasela.

Music from the Tsotsi score has been featured in trailers such as Blood Diamond - and, more recently, The Revenant

Tsotsi

The soundtrack for the New Line movie "Rendition" - co-composed with fellow South African, Mark Kilian. This is the second movie we did with director Gavin Hood.

We recorded a number of brilliant Moroccan musicians at Wolfgang Funk's studio in Marrakech, where the movie was being filmed on location. We then incorporated their performances into the score.

We also featured the amazing duduk of Pedro Eustache, and Marissa Steingold's haunting voice. MC Rai supplied some arabic vocal craziness on the track "Journal".

We added a 40 piece string section at the Clint Eastwood recording stage on the Warner Brothers lot in Burbank.

Rendition

The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Hepker and Mark Kilian who have previously co-scored the director Gavin Hood's features "Tsotsi", "Rendition" and "Eye in the Sky". 

Official Secrets is co-written and directed by Hood and stars Keira Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, Matt Smith, Matthew Goode, Indira Varma and Rhys Ifans. The movie tells the true story of British Intelligence whistleblower Katharine Gun who, during the immediate run-up to the 2003 Iraq invasion, leaked a top-secret NSA memo exposing a joint U.S.-U.K. illegal spying operation against members of the UN Security Council. 

The thriller premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and was released in select theaters that summer by IFC Films.

The track was recorded at shrooom studios in Assagay, KZN, South Africa. IT is written, produced and performed by Paul Hepker, engineered by Keith Farquharson at Bridge North Studios.
