Serato Kitchen DiBi Flip Sessions

This is the latest project from Cleveland born, Japan based Paulie Rhyme, produced by Poland's Dar-O. Higher is an ode and testament to friendship, community, and keeping your head above the water through the trials and tribulations. It is also a soundtrack for planting roots and living out your dreams, wherever they may take you. The single, also title Higher, featuring Japanese rapper MACO and singer Moto (Finless Brown/Key of Soul), gives it up to the city of Handa, where both artists are from, as well as where Paulie Rhyme and family now reside. 

Higher is collaborative affair and features artists not only from/living in Japan (including Sisido, Crazy T, and Lena of the Avocado Boys), but from the states like Ohio's San Goodee, Bru Lei, Drastic, and San Francisco's Cyph4. The project was also mixed by Danny G (dubldragon.) and mastered by 4th Disciple (Sonic Ministry/WuTang), with the Higher lettering/artwork by Sanoizm.

Part 3 of the #DiBiFlipSessions. I definitely feel like I am developing a certain style on Serato Studio, but I did try and just use the sample on this one. I did use some drums in it, but everything else is chopped up. Tried to layer the sample a bit more and play with the effects.

Decided to jump out my comfort zone of mid 90s and do something a bit more uptempo. The vocals led me to more vocals which inspired me to chop up another acapella to add more movement and flavor. I could keep going, but I think this is a good place to present it. Enjoy!

Handa House

Busy week. Started a diet. Decided to play with the effects more in Serato Studio and add some more drum elements. If I was rapping on this, I might change it up a bit, but that vocal just felt dope over the production. Enjoy.

Last one for the series. This has been pretty fun and I have made a bunch of beats in the last 2 months. One of those Hip Hop Duo inspired joints. Will definitely get somebody to rap on this. Japan based Browntown Wreckords is proud to announce the release of Hourglass, the first single off of the new collaborative project, Act 3 Scene 216, from Cleveland natives emcee Paulie Rhyme and composer/producer King Rem (Poetic Republic). Reconnecting online  recently, Rhyme and Rem, found chemistry and inspiration through reminiscing on their past connections and mutual time in Cleveland, as well as their growth as artists and transplants to New York, California, and overseas. The roots of the past, present, and future play out in the Ep and the single. Hourglass deals with the timely subjects or domestic violence and mental health, while not only looking at the causes, but also the effects, and some possible solutions. Rhyme and Rem paint a picture with many levels and emotions, hoping to grab you sonically and make you think beyond what is in front of you.

Off the new project, Phenomenal Love by Nomak. A bit of a reboot for the remix and the original, which came out in a limited release awhile back. I actually wrote the song to this track, but this instrumental end up on a different project. Hence why it is now the remix versus the original. 

The lyrics are inspired by some dorm room convos I had back in the day when I was in college. I sometimes feel like I learned way more from the interactions I had with my friends and peers at the time. It is definitively something I hold on to and continues to motivate me to look at myself for the answer.

New music from Paulie Rhyme backed by Finless Brown. Exercise is inspired by carving your own lane and being happy with what your voice brings. Not really being caught up in what other people are into, just working on you and your struggles. We all got something to say and sometimes it just best to agree to disagree. Greg Bandy is more of a jam or free flowing funk joint that just felt like Greg Bandy would dig. Just has a real blue collar, soul, jazz feel to it. Like lightning in a bottle.
