As August takes its last breath, TOR reconnects with the Barcelona-based Brazilian - Pedro Capelossi. Pedro is an important figure in both the thriving Sao Paulo electronic scene, as well as the quintessential dance community in the Catalonian mecca. Capelossi has launched onto the international scene with a production style rooted in jazz-driven melodic house. After vibrant projects on the likes of Seven Villas and Dream Culture, we’re thrilled to have him back on TOR for his second EP on the imprint.

Lost In Translation opens with swaying synths forming a foundation of deep groove. Ominous melodics set the vibe, as tripped out vocal chops meander in the mix. Late night flavors showcase Capelossi’s knack for sultry selections and easy-flowing arrangements. A touch of brass enters the fold as the track progresses, a staple of Pedro’s timeless sound.

Longtime friends atish and Mark Slee opened their record label, Manjumasi, in 2016. Two dozen releases later, it continues to engage fans and sound systems alike! Vridian returns exactly 16 months since his debut offering. Like previous mixes, “Strange Statistics” defies a multitude of genres. It also helped bust a serious case of writer’s block. Meaning “Outsider” in Spanish, “Gabacho” sounds best on late night dancefloors.

“A balanced path of light and dark is good practice in all things throughout life”. This train of thought resonates throughout Paul Jove’s career of 15+ years as a musician, producer and dj. He is a constant workhorse in the Bolivian electronic music scene with presentations on just about every week- end. Not only does he run and manage a successful vegan/vegetarian restaurant but he also runs Bolivia’s oldest and constant electronic music net label, San Pedro Music. He’s released his own music that spans from ambient acoustic to dance tracks as well as doing his share of remixing throughout the years. This solid commitment to the music scene has given fruit to shows, releases and presentations that range geographically from the Americas to parts of South East Asia.

Paul Jove is committed to a sound/performance that is not measured by mainstream acceptance but rather by the quality of music and interaction. This is truly reflected in the now active San Pedro Music releases, which not only feature Bolivian artists, but also various guests from different parts of the world.
Music is the circulating blood running through Paul Jove that will keep giving fruits later this year like his 2nd full-length album, which will be released on San Pedro Music. EP’s, singles and remixes are also in the near horizon on labels like Frequenza Records and HRBR (Saigon).
