Egostereo - Sex Pistols (Paul Lennar Remix) WINNER RMX CONTEST (UK) Mc//Groove Rec

ESSENTIAL PURCHASES Release Promo 2.0 
Argentinean producer Charly Aguada first appeared on Deepsessions in August of 2011 with his 'Undiscovered Ocean' single which contained a massive remix from Stefan Djordjevic.  Charly quickly followed that up with a remix of D.Deluxer just a few short weeks later. This week he returns to Deepsessions for his third overall appearance and a follow up to 'Undiscovered Ocean' entitled 'Stillness' which comes with remixes from: Stefan DJordjevic and Paul Lennar.

Charly's original leads the package off with a deep and warm progressive groove. Slowly the foundation of the record gets surrounded by intricate electronics, spacey atmospherics and soft, rhythmic stabs. The piece flows perfectly to the drop which is short and just serves as a nice transition into the latter part of the record. A smooth and classy sounding track from Charly. 

The first remix comes from Serbian producer Stefan DJordjevic who has been much hyped of late with several remixes of his making their way into the Release Promo Top 50. Stefan's 'Stillness' remix packs some serious punch straight away with a tough kick and grainy effects which lead to the introduction of a driving and somewhat wobbly sounding bass line that is absolutely wicked. The alternating synth sequences are spectacular as they create a wicked hypnotic environment and lock the groove even further as the track approaches the drop. The piece transitions through a gorgeous melodic section that's filled with emotional pads and soaring atmospheres before moving back to the rumbling groove for a strong finish. 

Closing the package out is Colombian producer / DJ Paul Lennar who would have to be considered one of the hardest working DJs in Colombia at the moment for his work with Global Dance Radio. Paul's production career is off to great start having already appeared on Mistique Music and McGroove Records. His remix here marks his debut for Deepsessions and it does not disappoint.  It's get underway with a spacious and funky groove that accented nicely with some panning electronics and subtle atmospherics.  The track flows nicely through sections of lovely melodies and wavering hypnotics all while the killer groove keeps things firmly focused on the dance floor. Great remix from Paul and we look forward to hearing much more from him through the rest of 2012.

Electronic Tree family is happy to welcome Paul Lennar – great dj and producer from Colombia. Paul is known for being an extremely active person on many levels related with music – besides playing dj gigs and supporting world class artists on his local south american scene, he works as a manager at the best dj school in Colombia developing many young talents in cross-over trends during it's 9 years of existence. He also got his own radio show called Global Dance Radio, which became very popular due to having interesting guests, interviews and airing best exclusive promos. Also an expanding discography including releases on such labels as Balkan Connection, Future Synth, Limeroads, Mistique among others and big support from key players (Warren, Cattaneo) clearly explains Paul's rapidly growing reputation on electronic music stage. 
The original of „Voyage” (made in cooperation with Abiel Thompson) is a beautifuly crafted serene melodic progressive track. Calming sounds of guitar and piano in harmony with fantastic flute sequence on the background makes it ideal for relaxing moments. It was pretty obvious that we need to find some right persons to make interesting reworks and so we did, no strangers here - Dio S vs Cayo Largo, LoQuai, Pierre Zamyatin and Tuxedo tried hard to highlight their presence on this release and make it something really special. 
Congrats for the brilliant debut single for Paul and hope to hear more great stuff soon as the future seems to be bright for him.

The original track is full with hypnotic textures thanks to Nico's passion for creating unique melodies. Nice deep-progressive crossover, based on a driving baseline. 

Paul Lennar kept the pace of the original, and stripped the atmosphere back a little bit, to make it sound more straight.

The serbian Beat Maniacs did a really nice job in their version, wonderful soundscapes built upon a thick, killer baseline.

Sleepless Nights Recordings returns for their 12th overall release this week which follows one of the labels finest from Dmitry Molosh in May. Their newest offering sees Genetic Rhythm returning to the label for their second appearance. Irish producers Karl Lambert and Tony Pugh make up the Genetic Rhythm production duo and they first appeared on Sleepless Nights back in October of 2011. Genetic Rhythm’s second single for Sleepless Nights is entitled ‘If I Could Change My Life’ and it comes with a remix from Paul Lennar.

The original mix is a wonderful deep and emotional creation. Rolling bass stabs provide some wicked funk while the meandering atmospheres and plucky hooks put you in daydream land quite nicely. A complementary piano ups the musicality even more and the bleepy electronics add just the right amount of colour throughout. A masterful production from Genetic Rhythm. The Colombian producer has just come off two outstanding releases for Bermudos and Lowbit not to mention some great gigs in Buenos Aires over the weekend. Paul’s remix here ups the tempo and provides the perfect dance floor interpretation. Full of vintage old school sounds Paul’s remix has immense character and groove. The undulating bass line and aquatic hits give the track a very vibrant, electric feeling. Smooth hypnotic lines along with the gorgeous pianos and gated keys add a refined and classy vibe while still keeping it dance floor worthy. The drop as well is brilliant; short and with a breaky groove that builds for a quick sweeping climax. Awesome work from Paul and a killer release from Sleepless Nights.
