Colony Records is run by Paul McAree, a musician and curator based in Ireland. He creates music as To Blacken The Pages and The Ambient Service, and has released several albums including a double collaborative album with Korperschwache. Using layers of guitars, he has moved from solid drone noise works of early releases to more improvisational and experimental work with each release. New project The Ambient Service moves into more saturated electronic terrain. An album is due summer 2020.
