Plage De La Raguette is a small sandy beach in a protected cove along the castle walkway in Mandelieu La Napoule. The sea was fairly agitated the day I headed out to record and the waves were rough. The wide stereo image (ORTF) captures the waves breaking on the sea walls to the far left and far right, as well as onto the sandy beach.

Wood Ants on Thursley Common

This is a Mid Side audio recording performed on May 5, 2021 at the wetland Palude del Busatello near Gazzo Veronese - Verona - Italy.
I used a Do It Yourself system by means of a stereo separation baffle inside a 55 cm parabolic dish, in which I inserted two 10 mm microphone capsules: an Omnidirectional AOM 5024 facing the inside of the dish and a figure-eight Primo EM283.
I used a Tascam DR100 mk3 on M/S position recording. 
Please use a good headphones to appreciate the stereo separation!

This recording of a mixed chorus of the three species of 17-year cicadas features the wild songs of Magicicada septendecula. Apparently, this is the more rare species of the three.

The first in a series of recordings taken of Brood X in the Patapsco Valley near Baltimore Maryland. In this section, the microphones face a tree being used by the brood to get to the treetops. The beating of wings can be heard as well as some close up calls. The camera shutter is also audible above the din.

What I like so much about this recording is the layers of drone produced by the cicadas is given a bit of depth through wingbeats, a few footsteps, and the clicking of the camera's shutter.
